Truly Free (No Ads, No AI, No Selling Your Data!)
I found this app while scrolling Reddit for budgeting app/website reccomendations. I used to use Notion with a custom template, but have been put off by the shift towards AI… I’ve been a loyal used since high school (2019?) and finally had enough. Someone in a random thread mentioned this single-developer, passion project: Budgetum. It genuinely has changed the game for me. I tried using other apps between Notion and Budgetum, and they all had too many ads, or nagged me to use their AI features, or were basically useless without a subscription. Budgetum provides a solid user experience with a deep care for and attention to what a budgeting app is meant to be. Simple, sleek, and effective. I can’t wait to see how it develops with more support!

I have tried quite a few different budget apps and this is by far the best one. Simple to use, easy to set up, free for the most part but cheap to support the developer and well worth the money. I’m just glad I can stop looking around because this app does everything I wanted. Well done.

That is perfect app for me
No annoying ads, simple and easy, the most important being able to set amount of expected expenses, really easy to customize in every way possible, used it for last 6 months, love it so so much

A breath of fresh air
Other apps are bloated and gate features behind subscriptions. Budgetum is simple and does everything I need, while being free. I hope it stays that way
Needs csv export, everything else perfect
Everything is perfect with this app, I like every detail. However I really need csv export , it doesn’t work for some reason. Need it for further analytics . Thanks!

Great budget app!
Have enjoyed using Budgetum. I have accounts with different banks and this app helps to give me a snapshot of everything all at once. Easy to use and set up!

Does everything it claims to. UI is very intuitive and clean. Miles better than using an excel spreadsheet! Offline use + not needing to sign up for an account to use is a HUGE plus. My compliments to the dev.
Budgeting That Works For All
As a monthly paycheck girlie, I was ecstatic to find this app because I can budget on my terms. I’m not forced to begin on any specific date. (If I’m paid on October 31, it can still be November’s paycheck, so on and so forth.) The flexibility of this app makes it so worth it, and I know where every dollar goes.

This app is perfect for anyone wanting to keep a budget. It’s well designed and easy to use adapts to anyone’s finances. I can easily see exactly how much I’m spending in each category and whether I’m staying on budget or going over. It helps me save money. Best of all it’s free and ad no ads!!

Better than YNAB & EveryDollar
Could not brag enough about this app. I’ve used YNAB and EveryDollar for years. This is substantially better is so many small ways, it’s hard to believe it’s free. In fact, I like using it so much that I paid for the Pro version just to support the developer.
Transactions are easy to track, it’s completely customizable, and so far, the creator has been super responsive with adding new features and updates suggested by users. 11/10.

Truly surprised. Love the app.
After the app I used to use when the subscription route and locked me out of my account unless I paid I was looking for a budget planner that was privacy conscious and a one time purchase or free. I’m incredibly happy that I found this app. It’s everything that I wanted. And the one time purchase of $7 CAD looks to be a great way to tip the developer after I try this app out for a little bit and see what I think. But from first impressions, I really like it. I set up my budget in minutes.

I literally never rate apps, but this one is so well designed - simple, easy to use, helps me visualize where my spending is going and I keep a better eye on it since I have to keep track!
Good Alternative to YNAB
I switched from YNAB and I have enjoyed using this app. I like the current color and icon customizations, the section and category flexibility, and the clear visibility between planned amounts vs spent amount vs remaining amount. I found setting up my budget with this app easier than YNAB. I’m sincerely excited about future updates and it’s literally 94% cheaper than YNAB if you get the pro.

I was looking for a budgeting and expense tracker APP, but one without a link to my bank account or credit card info. One that was user friendly and free or a very low cost, or even a affordable, one time fee. I found it in Budgetum👍😊 Very happy as I know this will be easy for me to be accountable.
