Subscription fail
Absolutely rubbish app, trying to use it and asking for further payment!
Good magazine - terrible app
This review is for the app not the magazine itself.
I’m subscribed to several e-magazines and this one is by far the worst. For a start each issue takes an age to download (20+ minutes for the current one). Another magazine I subscribe to took about 10 seconds at the same time with the same internet connection and a similar amount of content. The next problem is that it crashes - a lot. This seems to happen mainly during pinching to zoom in or out. There is an option to read articles in a more iPad friendly way but it jumps out of that view suddenly for no apparent reason. A really annoying problem I’ve encountered is that when the app crashes it often says I need to re-download the issue (it has the cloud symbol with the down arrow). If I have an internet connection this resolves itself straight away but I subscribe to these magazines because I do a lot of long haul flying so once it says I need to download the issue again I’m stuffed for the rest of the flight - this has happened more than once! There are also other publications in the back catalogue that I’d like to buy but it won’t let me - where the price should be is just a spinning wheel. This is a great magazine but the app is awful. Other magazine apps can be really slick with a download time of just a few seconds so it is possible to get it right. I won’t be renewing unless there’s a massive quality improvement.

Electronic version late!
January edition in the shops for a few weeks now but no sign of the electronic version??

Why is the digital edition always late? It is in the shops weeks before the iPad edition arrives.

Unreadable
I've just downloaded the October issue at great expense and it's totally unreadable. Every single page is blurred. It's like trying to read through frosted glass. I think I'll stick to the printed version! What a waste of money. I am eternally grateful that I resisted buying the subscription.
Great for on the move
Get this mag most months so was pleased to see the app come out - means I can carry round a whole bunch of copies to dip in and out of and refer back to whenever I want. Simple but effective app. Am using it on a 3GS with no probs, but can imagine it would look best on a pad.
Great mag, terrible app
I love reading Build it but recently it keeps crashing, and then they sold me an old edition instead of the March edition I ordered (wrong one downloaded despite ordering the right one). I haven't been able to read Aprils mag as it crashes every three pages. Not acceptable

I'm renovating a house and the magazine provides all the practical advice and inspriation I need for the project. I am delighted to get a version on my iPad because I therefore have multiple editions in a handy mobile device to take anywhere whilst on site. It's perfect - thanks very much Build It.

U only get one edition of the magazine for this price. Unfair promotion!
Magazine seems to be very good but ....
The magazine appears to be very good but there is a problem with registering to get any more copies and the developer's web page isn't up and running. I would advise holding off purchasing this app until it is properly supported and running properly
