About

Record the safety checks your building needs, and prove you did them. BuildingSafe keeps a log of fire alarm tests, emergency lighting, fire doors, drills and risk assessments - plus anything else your building needs checking, from CCTV to meter readings. Set a check to repeat weekly, monthly or annually and logging it moves the next one on automatically. * See at a glance what is overdue * Log a check in two taps while you are standing at the panel * Works without a signal - entries send themselves when you are back online * Get a reminder when something falls due * Every entry keeps its date, outcome, details and who recorded it * Export or print the lot when an inspector asks Used to keep community halls, scout huts and small commercial buildings compliant. BuildingSafe records the checks you carry out. It is not a substitute for a fire risk assessment or any other statutory inspection.

What's New in BuildingSafe

1.2

September 10, 2026

Two new checks come as standard: the electrical installation condition report (EICR) on a proper five-year cycle, and a monthly legionella and water temperature check with the hot and cold readings recorded as numbers. Setting up a site now asks which checks the building actually needs, so a hall with no emergency lighting is not chased to test it. You can add your own custom checks there too, like a boiler service or PAT testing. Everything is called a check now, in the app and in the guide, instead of tasks in one place and checks in another. Fixes: - Deleting your account works, and no longer needs an organisation first. - Signing out of the website no longer signs you out here. - Pulling to refresh no longer shows an error when nothing was wrong.
