Crashes

Every time I try to edit it crashes

Looked promising, crashes every time.

First, I was looking for a batch image renamer and this showed up at the top of the results. A free 14 day trial, may as well give it a whirl. Except, you have to opt-out of a compelled subscription—as opposed to choosing to opt-in after the trial lapses. Standard practice, I know, but it’s like a fart at a funeral. Next is the fact that it doesn’t have a batch rename feature (and not much of a UI besides (no settings, about, ?, …), the effects seem to work in in-app preview but are limited to rounding and sizing (no filters otherwise), and I haven’t tried with individual images, but any batches of 10 plus crash on an M1 iPad.

Avoid this app. It doesn’t work

I wish I could give this app zero stars. I wanted an app to rename a batch of photos. It looked like it would do the job. Two problems:

1) I tried to rename 70 photos and the app crashes. I tried it several times.
2) The renaming function doesn’t work correctly. If will rename the photo file but not always with what you want. I tried renaming three files and only one file was renamed like I wanted. The other two files had the name of the previous attempt

Can’t see where to rename an image

Maybe I’m missing something, but although the app says you can rename a photo, I can’t find any place in the app to do that.

Hopefully the Tomas Coomer, the app developer will jump in with a reply.

Renaming is the specific reason I got the app.

Response from developer

Hello Thank you for downloading the app. To rename an image, scroll horizontally along the toolbar (above the export button) to the rename tool. Tap on the rename tool to add it to the effects area, then tap on the name field (that contains “bulk_edited_image” by default) to enter the new name of your image. Then tap Export. Please let me know if you need any other help or visit our support page on our website. Thanks Tom

Where’s my EXIF data gone?

This app is OK in what it does - the problem is what it doesn’t do and, for me, the most serious problem is that the EXIF data for any photos edited is just gone. All you get is todays date in the “Date Taken” field.

The main purpose of an app like this is to help organise you photo collection and, let’s be honest, the Apple Photo app isn’t much help with this. But, if this app gets rid of the Date/Time Taken info then that is seriously disorganising your photos.

This make it useless for me.
