Boost is worthless
“You got over 100 likes with Boost”. Cool! Oh, but you’re showing me literally nobody and saying “you’ve seen everybody, why not adjust your filters?” After I swipe left on 10 profiles… huh? And zero came with “you’ve seen everybody missed a potential match” so are you purposely removing everybody who liked me from what I can see so I have to pay more? Rude.

Lots of fake profiles and scams. You would think the algos would weed them out.
Held back by missing a key QOL feature
You should be shown how much time is left before your likes reset, full stop. Hinge resets likes at midnight every morning regardless of when you swiped. Playing the “how much longer does it take til I can play the dating game” game is tedious and ruins the user experience. I hate that every conceivable social interaction in our society is gamified, but that’s not changing anytime soon so so be it. What I can’t let be is how poorly designed this one is. Add this one simple feature. Please.

Stopped showing me my likes
Don’t waste hours swiping. They tell you that you have likes and don’t even show you those people. 7 likes but not a single match or “you’ve missed a match” in the past week

I’ve been on and off as a woman user on the free version. All I have to say is women and men if you want you can all walk on eggshells on this app because you can get your profile revenge reported by some man who got their feelings hurt. He made up a fugazy reason because I have standards . If you plan a date and you cancel last minute and try to change it to another day. I don’t have to say yes. Men on there seem to be collecting likes like Pokémon . I don’t have an ex boyfriends that are mad at me or hell bent trying to ruin my life. It’s legit strangers! I don’t understand how our court of law is not interjecting on this app! Or my government needs to step up. I reported this app Also , Too bad so sad that I appealed and I won against that envious man. A person that doesn’t even know me or never met ..made up something to get revenge. How sick is that?There’s no accountability. It’s annoying also that the 24 hour limit expires . I work , I am busy!. Bumble prevents me from meeting people. I can’t log on every hour of the day. Also can’t tell if profiles are genuine ; and when someone unmatches you in the middle of a conversation… you have no idea what happened there. Deleting. Waste of time. I’m not paying for something that doesn’t guarantee it will work.

I’ve been blocked for no reason and I’ve been in contact with the customer service and
Nobody is willing to get to the bottom of this. I think it’s honestly unfair that I get blocked for not doing anything and yet I still can’t get a chance to try bumble because they’ve blocked me for no reason they won’t even tell me. I think this is a disrespectful app and I think everyone is not real! Run from this app!!

Manipulative
The length these apps go to, to NOT let people who have liked you show up in your stack is deplorable. They want you to pay that money. The mentioned dynamic or practice basically forces you to pay, otherwise you'll probably never see them. If they actually put the people who have liked you in your stack they wouldn't ever get any subscriptions/money.

Bad algorithm
I’ve interacted with two people who liked me in as many months with maxing out swipes frequently. The app in its current form appears tailored to force you to spend time on the app to make you frustrated enough to spend money as opposed to performing its one single function of bringing people together.

This app sucks first off unit shows you who likes you but if you want to like them back you have to pay for it :/ on top of that the app is so ridiculously buggy every time I was editing my profile it kept bugging out
Racial issues
I’ve noticed that I’ve had a lot of bigoted and racist outcomes, depending on what ethnic group I put on my profile so when I put no ethnic group, I had a very broad spectrum of people that were choosing me, and to choose from the second, I added any ethnic background I suddenly found myself with very singular ethnic groups. I also found myself with groups that were very rude to me and come back to me ethnically it was categorized to one group. I’m not gonna label any of them because I myself don’t want to feed the fire of racial disputes and racism or bigotry on this app, but it is something that I have noticed repeatedly as I changed my ethnic background, trying to find something where I don’t feel like I am being categorize specifically to one group because I don’t think that’s very fair to me. I do think that the algorithm is programmed to do this so that means that either the creator of the algorithm programmed a bigotry and racism into the algorithm or they are as they claim passively, allowing this algorithm to go unchecked, which makes them a passive aggressive participant, which is still a participant. They’re not openly aggressive. They’re not openly allowing this, but they are directly passively allowing it which means they’re doing nothing to stop it and this is just one of my issues with this app.

It’s a Downhill Slope
Bumble has become a cash grab in my experience. I once used it for dating and had no problem finding people and chatting. Now, it seems that unless I pay for the top premium subscription, I get nothing but bots and scammers advertising their OF pages. $93 per month for premium plus?? Come on!

Fake profiles. Not safe.
So I put 5 stars so it doesn’t get put at the bottom of the pile, bad news is bad for business ya know. This app isn’t safe. I’ve had more fake profiles than anything and when I do get a number, I run it first, and most of the time, it comes back to a different name or in my case, it’s a dude and not a woman. I’ve reported the past 3-4 profiles that are someone else, and Bumble always says “we have found nothing wrong”. It’s easy to fake a “photo verified” and even some “ID verified” profiles. Bumbles steps to protect people are non existent. So if you choose to use this app, get a number first and run it through a 3rd party site, cause Bumble sure doesn’t care. I won’t be renewing my subscription.
