What is BundesIdent used for?
BundesIdent is exclusively for the Grundsteuererklärung (property tax declaration) for private property owners. It guides you through the identification process using your online ID card.
What do I need to use BundesIdent?
You will need your ID card with the online ID function activated, or an electronic residence permit, or an eID card for EU/EEA citizens. A smartphone with an NFC interface is also required.
How does BundesIdent activate my online ID card?
During the initial activation, BundesIdent guides you through setting up a personal 6-digit PIN. This PIN is then used for online identification.
Is BundesIdent secure?
Yes, your ID card data is stored in encrypted form on the chip. The app uses your PIN for decryption, and the data is read securely via NFC.
Does BundesIdent work on all smartphones?
