Finally

One app which is interesting and also reasonable priced, could make a price down for lifetime membership then I could definitely take it.
For now still trial period but as I use it every day ( that’s a first) I think I will go for one month after that and keep going.

Gute App für Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene!

Ich habe Bunpro schon vor ner Weile mal ausprobiert und es gefiel mir schon da sehr gut. Jetzt lerne ich seit 3 Monaten wieder aktiv für den JLPT Test und kann Bunpro umso mehr empfehlen! Man kann sich Decks reinladen für jede Stufe (N5 - N1) und auch einige Bücher wie Genki z.B. sind als Deck komplett verfügbar. Dazu gibt es noch ein paar Spiele und viele andere „Extras“

Cette appli est parfaite pour réviser la grammaire (et le vocabulaire, si vous ne cherchez pas à savoir tracer les kanjis) japonaise, avec répétition espacée. Le support a été très réactif toutes les fois où je l’ai contacté. Les leçons de grammaire sont bien faites, sans les erreurs classiques de certains manuels. Le système est encourageant et clair sans être stressant. Et il y a beaucoup d’autres fonctionnalités (histoires à lire, examens JLPT, personnalisations…).

Need German translation

Hey Guys, do you plan to bring German as a language in game ? So I will learn in mother’s language but is no possible with this app 😭 but Looks really good to me 😉

Paid version

Basically need to get the paid version to really get use out of it, and that’s worth it if you have the money to spare. It does work well enough with WaniKani/Tsurukami as well.

Fine, I suppose

I’m not sure if I don’t understand the example sentences because I skipped straight to N4 (and didn’t see the earlier grammar or vocabulary) or if they are just using grammar and vocabulary that are way beyond N4. I suspect it’s the latter, which is really not helpful. I also wish there were a way to hide the hints in quizzes: I tend to be lazy and not read the entire sentence yet still be able to answer just by reading the English hint.

Thank you for trying Bunpro! As for the the example sentences, we actually use an 'N+1' approach. This means our sentences build upon previously taught grammar, just like a pyramid. So grammar not learned should not appear as long as you are using bunpro deck. As for the quiz hints, we've got you covered! You can hide them by tapping the hint button during a review, or you can go into your Review Settings to permanently change the default to 'Hide'. Cette appli semble bien mais ce qui est désagréable c’est que depuis que j’ai créé mon compte et donc donné mon adresse mail je suis submergée de spam. Ok c’est gratuit le premier mois mais si en échange vous vendez les informations personnelles honnêtement j’aurais préféré payer. Dommage.

My favorite learning app for Japanese grammar

If you’re studying Japanese and want to get deeper than Duolingo ever could, then consider Bunpro for grammar.

While there are hundreds of SRS apps with nearly infinite customizability for Japanese in general, in my opinion Bunpro is by far the most organized and clearly designed for the grammar part. The points are logically organized and intuitively explained, and feature explainers to better differentiate between related grammar points. The paid version isn’t cheap, but it offers unlimited access to all the grammar points, and it’s more affordable during the annual sale.

Bunpro also offers a vocabulary SRS, though I would say that grammar is easily the best part.

Best way to study grammar

In my opinion the best way to study grammar. The explanations are detailed and also show the differences to similar expressions. The different levels of hints you can set during the practice is a nice option as well.

In the end, this app helped me more than some teachers that just rush over grammar points without going into detail.

Fantastic Tool

Has comprehensive explanations for each grammar point, broken up into manageable parts. I’m finding this in combination with Wani Kani to be super productive.

Info button is way worse

The info button producing a screen that scrolls down made my review process way more time consuming. I don’t like the way it works. It makes my keyboard display disappear, I can’t click into the text box to delete text, and I’m forced to undo. On top of that I’ve accidentally hit the back button on the info screen, thinking it will bring me back up the page, but it brings me back to my homepage. Overall, made the app worse.

Great Detail!

Favorite Japanese learning app & website: great cross compatibility and I love the nuance in definitions, explanations, and tons of examples. The audio is super clean and everything flows really well.

Great for post university study

I finished my studies at about an N3 level and find it so hard to get good resources when you’re already at that level. Finding a free app like this where you can start at your level, and go all the way to N1?? Insane. Thank you

It’s such a game changer as a convenient way to keep on top of one’s Japanese learning.

Single Handedly taught me Japanese

I’ve been using Bunpro for two years, and overall it’s been an overwhelming positive experience! Please do try it! While it does have its faults, the dev team is very responsive and the community is Alive and well! Praise the Bunpro gods!
