Bus maps not updating for new routes
I wrote to them prior to June 29th, and as of today 7/16 the maps are still outdated and not following the new design of the MTA bus routes. This app is useless in trying to find buses on the new routes.
Update - devs got right back to be and resolved it. THAT’S what a good app does. This one is one of the best apps I have found for live tracking, I have been using it for years. Highly recommend.

Way more useful than the MTA app

Pretty much always wrong
Says a bus is due. The bus doesn’t show. When the “due” time passes, the app resets to the next bus due time.
Works great most of the time.
Excellent app at nice price. This is my go to app when I am at the bus stop or trying to check on a schedule delay in the subway.
I would like to be able to put in more favorites, including a couple of stops on the same lines. After all, most people travel in two directions! that’s my only suggestion. Thanks so much.

Not perfect. But my gf uses another app that’s way worse. Comparatively this gets it right most every time.
NYC Travelers
Bus NYC is a great app if you have to travel by MTA buses. I very highly recommend it. It shows you where the bus stops are and the actual location of the bus you are waiting for so you know approximately how long you will have to wait. It is vastly superior to even the MTA’s own app. It has been very helpful in my travels.

the perfect bus app
i use this app ALL the time - i take buses much more, at all times of the day than i take the subway. it shows you any particular bus route you need and exactly where the bus stops are, as well as real time bus location via gps on any line plus real time next bus in xx mins info, plus actual timetables if you are planning ahead. It is an easy to use and understand interface and has everything you need to use the MTA (NYC) bus system. It’s fabulous and i hope the developers keep up the fantastic work that they are doing. I also had a question/feedback for them and someone actually emailed me back! I couldn’t recommend this app any higher (i’ve tried lots of bus apps and was so happy when i found this one).
