sometimes it’s accurate, sometimes it just straight up lies. unreliable but better than google maps unfortunately.
Can’t decide which is worse
Can’t decide which sucks worse this app or OC transpo- I have lots of time to write because as usual you wait 10-15 minutes for a bus this app says is coming and then it disappears into the ether and you are then presented with a 30-35 minute wait for the next supposed bus. Happens all the friggin time. Upgrade your info sources.

Why doesn’t my Trip Planner work now?
I have used Bus Buddy for years, previously, 5 stars no problem. However after OCTranspo recent changes my Bus Buddy ‘Trip Planner’ does not work. I have deleted 3 times and reloaded…still not working on my iPhone. WHY? And WHY is help so hard to receive help?Therefore much lower rating than I would like to give. Forget Facebook and Apple. Give a real contact!

Doesn’t work anymore
Lost all my favourites and the app no longer shows any bus times since the update. The app is useless at this point in time.

*update - I deleted the app and added it again and it now works perfectly! I used to love this app. It was so accurate and reliable. For the past 2 weeks now (March 2025), it has no gps data. Why?
New version broken
The newest version has removed stop times entirely

Don’t listen to negative reviews, this is great!
People that have given this negative reviews don’t realize you have to give yourself some leeway with the buses, the GPS can change at anytime and can be earlier or later all depending on the bus itself. I’ve been using this since February of this year and it’s yet to disappoint.

The “buddy” tells me I have 2 minutes and I walk up to the stop thinking I'm early and I miss the bus every time. Every. Time.

I’m a Bus Operator with OC Transpo. The app is amazing for keeping track of where your bus is. The other day, I put it to the test, and it was more than accurate. Highly recommend.

It has been about 2 years since the last updatw.
No longer working
I’ve tried deleting it, turning off my phone - pretty much everything and it keeps giving me an error message that is cannot retrieve the schedule file.
I used to use this every day and honestly I miss it as I preferred its layout and function to that of Transit which I use now.

Not accurate at all
Many at times it’s showing GPS for a bus but the bus is not even there, do not know where are they getting the information from . Last one month in Ottawa it’s not reliable tool at all. Had to switch to a competitive app

Oh, did we indicate 2 minutes ago that there was GPS tracking your bus? Haha, joke, there’s no GPS, we don’t know where it is.

Doesn’t track whatsoever with the schedule - not even the GPS times. Deleting this app - save yourself the headache
