App won’t load
I had a wingman for five years and the app was pretty consistent however, when the charging port decided not to work anymore and warranty services were unavailable, I upgraded to the new one which looked great and sounds great however, over the last several months this app will not load courses for me and recently I’ve been unable to use it at all. Very disappointed.

Bushnell wingman view
Ever since they did the update my view will lock up on a hole and will not advance unless I manually do it. It becomes a real pain when you are on the 7th hole and it giving you distances to the 5th. I know this is a first world problem but if you are going to try to make us pay for upgrades at least have the device workable. Several people I play with have the exact same issue. Several have trashed their device and bought a different brand.

Good Could be Better
Like this app but make it for watch too! Would be great to have it integrated into my Apple Watch instead of having to unlock my phone every few minutes. Also for end and save round button does not do that. I have to go back and hit end round to close it out.
Best app no Apple Watch support
Still no Apple Watch support. I’d be happy to pay for the app if Apple Watch support was added. Until then I won’t use it.
Needs Apple Watch integration
Good app. Quality maps and very accurate. Needs Apple Watch integration to be a five star app. Kind of frustrating that it’s not included.
Decent App but used to work better
This has never been a feature rich app but it did accurately tell you current distance to green front, center and back and keep score for you. They have recently add some features to catch them up to literally every other major app because they were behind in features and to pay for it they now want charge a monthly charge. Now the app hardly ever changes holes automatically based on your position like it used to to. Now you mostly have to manually change the hole to the next. I liked the old way better. It’s an incredibly mediocre app. Not to say it is a bad app just very vanilla and not as easy to use as it used to be.

App is bugging today
I usually have no complaints. But today I am using the app and can’t click on the screen to move the white circle for distances. My phone is also working fine

Won’t connect, error 147. Wingman HD keeps freezing up. Having all kind of issues with this app and product.
Problems ever since new app version this year
Ever since Bushnell updated this app I’ve had nothing but problems. Hasn’t been a round at my course in which I didn’t have to manually change to another hole as the mapping is horrible. It waiter stays on the precious hole or jumps to the next even when nowhere near those holes. Attempts to get this corrected by sending emails with the problem holes have not been addressed. Reinstalling the app has not worked either. Very disappointing.

Only updates Wingman HD when app is Active (Foreground)
Wingman HD will NOT update yardage distances when location settings are set to “While Using the App” and iPhone screen is off. You need to have app location settings to “Always” for it to work in background. Other golf apps I’ve used all work in the background with the location set to While Using.
Also was slow to sync distance from iPhone app to Wingman HD.

Latest update bugs
Up until the most recent update they had a solid app. Worked all golf season syncing/tracking scores using both the ion watch and the speaker… it connects and shows both devices connected but won’t share the scores I’m entering from my ion watch. Very frustrating

J’utilisais cette application gratuite, simple et efficace depuis plusieurs années. Malheureusement, la nouvelle mise à jour l’a rendue complexe et peu pratique. Il faut d’abord passer par la proposition d’achat qui prend un certain temps à chaque ouverture. Puis la présentation est beaucoup moins lisible et trop complexe pour l’utiliser sur le parcours. Très décevant

The update ruined it
This was a five star app before the update. Now it is garbage. It often gives bad yardages and can’t tell where it is in relation to the hole, requiring a restart. It often will not give yardage to a chosen fairway spot and then the yardage in from there. Very disappointed. All for a money grab too.

Worst Bluetooth Connect Process
The new app update completely messed up my BT connectivity.
The setup is incredibly complicated for a product in 2026 and I seem to have to fiddle with it every time I play. It’s not worth the effort.

Doesn’t advance holes
Used to be a great app, now it doesn’t advance holes. If you aren’t paying attention it is on the wrong hole with the wrong yardage
Updated app is garbage
The updated app doesn’t work. I loved the previous version to supplement my Bushnell range finder. It was great to find distances to hazards, etc. The new version just locks up on me. Is Bushnell trying to get us all to buy the plus version? So disappointed.
Was great
When I bought the speaker, it was awesome as I was forced to update the speaker due to issues now I can’t see the front center or back pin. And is now causing me issues to locate golf courses I’ve already played on.
Terrible
This app used to be great. However now it constantly pushes subscription features on pop up screens and they lock basic features. Wish I never bought their products. Just more greed by this company.
Unstable Bloaatwar
Previous version of this app worked flawlessly with Wingman devices. Early in 2026, they released a new version filled with features I can’t imagine anyone requested. Since then, the app freezes or crashes regularly. Opening another app on a phone running this app will cause it to crash.
I have had a support case open for months. No response since the initial acknowledgment. I will not continue to use Bushnell products based upon how badly they’ve managed this one.
