Like it but crashes
I love this app but recently has become unusable due to constant crashes
abandonware designed to look pretty
i appreciate the attempt but it feels like it was designed for aesthetics first and usability second. too many missing features, bugs and stability issues. a worse version of keepass in every way but looks
i mean seriously a password manager that crashes every time you add a new password is just ridiculous
edit: this software will export your entire vault littered with random strings of data and extraneous fields in every entry, making switching to Bitwarden annoying. Do not use this app for even a minute please.

Can’t access file in Google drive anymore
It was working fine for about a year. Now I can’t access the bcup file in my google drive anymore. Tried reconnecting drive, but the file is no longer found by buttercup. Although it’s there. I can see it in my drive app. Looking on github, a similar issue already existed in 2019, so the devs either closed the ticket without fixing it or it came back and wasn’t properly tested. This is a dealbreaker to me and I recommend anyone searching for a reliable password manager to keep looking. A password manager must imho, above all else, be stable. The best features and intuitive UI are useless, if you can’t access your stored passwords. I will be switching back to bitwarden asap.

Thank you for your Buttercup
I am using it from early versions and happy with it, thank you guys! Hope that one day it will simple docker app to put on your own server instead of Dropbox (idea with Buttercup account beta was nice but I understand that it was too much for indie developers). Glory to Ukraine, Freedom to Russia and Belarus! Peace!

Good vault and wonderful potential
I’ve been using the pro version of Dashlane for a while now, after trying several other password managers. I found Buttercup pretty appealing, and i always tend to prefer open source softwares so I gave it a go.
After creating a vault on Google Drive, I started to use buttercup exclusively to keep my new passwords.
I’ve taken a star off because for some reason my vault simply disappeared; I guess the permissions to Google expired, I’m not sure what happened, but I’m glad I still kept Dashlane as a backup. It was a big disagreement as I had to start a new vault from scratch; I enabled the backup option this time.
In any case, I don’t want to be too harsh and will rate 4 stars to continue support the development; there’s really a big potential and you guys are doing a great job!
I’d also love an integration with Synology NAS, if that could be on the roadmap.
Thanks!

Still unusable 7-26-22
Remove the beta stuff and add local import from apple files. Most of us already have kdbx files made and just need something to import it too.
We don’t need it to sync to the cloud, if we wanted that we would get dashlane or lastpass

No es fiable
Con la última actualización se ha borrado todos los passwords NO ES FIABLE.
(Update: UnScrewed) it up….
Now that offline copy is once again a thing, it’s perfect for storing passwords and OTP. One these days I hope they’ll support file attachments like pictures and what not. As of now I just need to figure out where they hid the code scanner in this new version
