Solid concept, too many bugs
The game itself is fun. It's about as good Atari-era baseball games (and I mean that in a good way). The problem is that the bugs make it impossible to play. The ads slow the game down considerably, and take up so much room that hitting becomes difficult. It's also prone to freezing between innings, so I've only been able to complete a couple games. Solid concept, but poorly made. With a really good bug-fixing update, I'd go back to playing this.

Good App
This is the best of the free baseball apps I've tried. Pitching is very realistic. Hitting is more difficult and contact seems a bit random. But overall this is a lot of fun. I play it every day.

As I have been playing baseball for quite a while, I can say this isn't the worst.People who are hooked on spelling are stupid, it's bound to have a few mistakes.Overall it could use some work, but it's not the worst.

It's called BvP ! There's only supposed to be the batter and pitcher! the concept Is very unique. Yes it does need lots of work, spelling is very poor and the girls are a very stupid addition and should be removed, but the game has potential. Dev keep trying!

All these one star reviewers must know nothing of baseball or never played. Firstly, it says right in the title "pitcher vs. Batter". It says in the description that it is only that. It is by far the best baseball game I have played on the iPhone, no it is not a full baseball game, but it is a touchscreen phone, and it is better that they chose to do something well instead of everything poorly. The batting and pitching is very well done. It is the best system since MVP Baseball 2005. Also, it is a free app. Just because the word play is transposed does not make it a bad game.

I generally don't care if an app is a little lacking, but in this case I had to write a review. As others have pointed out they should have spell checked the most pressed button before releasing the app, and even worse, when you hit the ball barely over the fence it can call it a hr or nothing whichever it inaccurately wants. Awful app, not worth the time wasted.

Not baseball
If you're looking for a baseball game, keep looking. This is quite possibly the worst baseball game I've played to date. All you do is pitch and hit, no fielders are even present. It's a carnival style "hit zones for points" game and does that poorly.
The fact that the dev didn't bother to spell check and has a button saying paly ball says all you need to know about this app. Steer clear.
