Collision detection ByStander can now detect a vehicle collision and start an incident on its own. If a crash is detected you get a 60-second countdown to cancel with one tap. If nobody cancels, your emergency contacts and — on advocate plans — a ByStander advocate are alerted with your location and a link to your live stream. It only triggers after a real impact at driving speed, so a dropped phone will not set it off. It is on by default and can be turned off in Settings → Safety Settings. Live captions Advocates watching your incident now see live captions of what is being said, and the transcript is saved to the incident record so it is available afterwards. Captions can be hidden from the stream view. Live interpretation Advocate chat now translates in both directions, so an advocate and a caller who do not share a language can still work through an incident together. Fall detection - Fixed a fault that could stop fall detection from starting at all. - A fall alert now includes your location. - Sensitivity can be set to Standard or High. Faster setup Sign-up used to ask for five permissions before you reached the app. It now asks once, up front, explaining what each one is for — and asks for camera and microphone only when an incident actually needs them. Also in this release - Forgotten your Safety PIN? You can now reset it from Settings. - Android: the camera and live stream keep running when the app is backgrounded. - Emergency access now works when biometric login is enabled. - Your plan's advocate coverage is now stated honestly during an incident — plans without advocate response say so instead of showing a waiting state.
