This is a ridiculous app, doesn’t work properly especially with music in the background and have low flexibility in setting cadence. Don’t waste money on this.

This app doesn’t work as intended.
Not worth it
Bog standard app on its own works, but try playing music in the background. I’ve tried everything to get it to run simultaneously with music on my iPhone 8 plus, but it’s just not working. Either the cadence app or the music seems to be the options. Also tried to email their customer services to ask for some help, but just get the same message when submitting: sorry there was a problem sending. Try calling 034 whatever in Australia.

Does not work when screen locks
Also beat is not even. Skips and is behind best approx every 5-6 beats. Would not recommend.
Can't change the cadence from 90
There is a problem with the app not letting you change the cadence from a pre set 90.
Also this app does not tell you what you cadence is . If basically just gives you a beat . If you want to know what your cadence is , don't buy this app

Now works with iOS11 - thank you
Downloaded this app (24 July 2017) and when opening found out it wouldn't work with iOS 11. Following posting review, app promptly updated and now appears to work with iOS 11. Thank you for being responsive.

Running at 90 seems very slow, like a slow walk, I'm almost having to blow it right out. Are the expert figures right here?

I didn't play over my music. It didn't play after I locked my iPhone. Waste of money.
Not good enough
Only goes up to 140bpm where as current advice is to aim for 180. Doesn't run in the background.
Switches itself off!
Needs a few more sounds added to its library, the biggest flaw however is that the sound stops when the phone is in screen saver or sleep mode - in other words the screen has to be on!
So that's an awful lot of battery drainage on a long run.

The app looks decent. But it never worked for me.
140 bpm only ; (
Why restricting the tempo to 140bpm (right foot only)? It's hard to adjust. It would be better to offer the possibility to choose right foot only or every step and increase BPM up to 200.
Being able to use the keypad to set the BPM, in addition to the slider adjustment, would be also appreciated.

Metronome sounds stop if you switch to a different app.
