What's New in Cadexa

Named places on your routes • Import a route and Cadexa learns the names along it. The coach now says “two kilometres at 12 percent, up to Ulriken”, “Ulriken in 150 metres” and “that's Ulriken, over the top” instead of just “the top”. Junctions and viewpoints get a quieter heads-up of their own. • Names come from the route file where it carries them, and otherwise from a place-name lookup done once while importing. It is off in one tap under Profile → Privacy. A share card worth sharing • The card now leads with a map of where you went, your own photo behind it, and three big numbers instead of nine small ones. • Every ride you have already recorded gets the new card. Open it in History and tap Share ride card. Send a route to a friend • Share any imported route as a GPX file from the route screen. They open it in Cadexa, Komoot or a bike computer. Routes you brought in from Strava are shared as a Strava link instead. Pocket lock • Runs and walks now lock the screen a few seconds after the start, and again after every unlock. The numbers stay visible, nothing can be tapped by a thigh or a jacket, and a short hold unlocks it. Trainer rides have a padlock in the corner for when you want it. Strava • A slow upload is no longer called a failure. Cadexa waits for Strava to finish and says so while it is working. • Syncing a ride that already made it through now finds the activity instead of reporting an error. • A clearer message when Strava has no free connection slots for Cadexa. Fixes • Photos you add to a ride or a route now survive an app update. Privacy Cadexa now counts which workouts are started and finished and which features are used, so we know what is worth improving. It is anonymous, never includes heart rate, location, names or photos, and you can switch it off under Profile → Privacy.
