The best ingredient scanner I’ve used
I’ve tried a lot of nutrition and health apps, but Cado is honestly one of the most useful ones I’ve come across. Instead of just counting calories or giving generic nutrition scores, it actually focuses on metabolic health, which feels way more relevant to how food affects your body.
The scanner is incredibly fast and makes it easy to understand what’s actually in the food you’re eating. I love that it highlights ingredients and explains things in a way that’s simple but still informative. It’s helped me rethink a lot of everyday foods I used to assume were healthy.
What really stands out is how clean and easy the app is to use. No clutter, no confusing charts, just clear insights that make it easier to make better choices at the grocery store.
If you care about ingredients and want to understand food beyond just calories, this app is genuinely worth trying.

The App I’ve Been Waiting For!
Pros:
With so many nutritional apps on the market, it’s so easy to get lost in the sauce. I’m not saying they aren’t great, but all of them have been missing one important feature: is this food going to play a big role in spiking my blood sugar / will it impede weight loss?
Cado, does exactly that! It scans your image to read the macronutrients and the ingredients panel. Once it’s done, it tells you which ingredients are inside that you would want to avoid AND it gives it a glycemic impact score.
Not only that, but let’s say I’m in the mood for pasta (which I know I shouldn’t be eating with my blood sugar), Cado recommends techniques in helping control the glucose spike of that meal! Now, I know it won’t completely eliminate the spike, but I’ve learned so much in just one day while using this app.
Cons:
I would appreciate having a feature for multiple languages.
One feature they advertised is not yet implemented (but it says it’s in development so I can’t be too mad).
Shoutout to the team behind this app! Great job!
