About
CAGView helps you learn, by moving the model yourself, how the gantry angle in coronary angiography changes what you see.
WHO IT IS FOR
- Junior residents about to start in the cath lab
- Anyone for whom LAO / RAO / cranial / caudal has not become second nature yet
- Anyone who wants to be able to say what the spider view is actually for
WHAT YOU CAN DO
- Drag a coronary model with AHA segment numbers and look at it from any angle
- Reproduce 11 standard views with one tap (spider, RAO caudal, LAO cranial and others)
- Highlight the branches that open well in the current view
- Switch between three renderings: color-coded, realistic, and fluoroscopy
- Toggle segment numbers and the cardiac silhouette
THE LEARNING PANEL
A panel slides in from the left with three short lessons.
- Beam - shows where the X-ray tube and the detector are right now, in an axial and a sagittal diagram. It makes the key relationship visible: a view is named after the detector's position, and what is on screen is the patient seen from there.
- Foreshortening - calculates how much each vessel is shortened at the current angle, and explains why that matters when you choose a stent length.
- Naming - what LAO / RAO / CRA / CAU mean, and the rule of thumb that the LAD opens in cranial views and the LCX in caudal ones.
PRIVACY
The app has no network features. It collects nothing and sends nothing. No account is needed.
PLEASE NOTE
This is a schematic for learning. The actual course and branching of the coronary arteries vary between individuals. Do not use it for diagnostic or treatment decisions.
