Not very useful.

Can’t seem to figure out Ingredient cost wen buying in bulk and keeps saying ingredient cost I completely. Not useful to me.

The ingredient cost must be entered for the package size that you purchased. E.g. 2kg flour. The app automatically proportions it for your recipe. Please reach out via the contact form in the app if you need more help.

No better than an excel file

I have to add the recipe AND ingredient cost AND time expenses? The app didn’t contribute ANYTHING. I expect you to autofill time estimates and grocery prices to be of any value. The app is useless.

Hi. Those are all the costs required to calculate the price accurately. Ingredient costs vary by item, location, brand, package size, so it cannot be automatically filled. Expenses and labour vary by location, skill level, etc. so that also cannot be generalised. Prep and work time also varies per recipe. These are all required inputs to accurately price a recipe. If you need help filling these out, please reach out via email or through the contact form in the app. We are happy to guide you through it and give you tips for your particular recipe and situation.

AWFUL

If I could leave half a star I would. Basic app, terrible features. But worst of all, I’ve requested to cancel my account 3 times and they won’t cancel! I’m getting email responses, but still not cancelling! I’m going to report to Apple!

Won’t save the cost of ingredients

It’s not that hard to save the ingredients list but it won’t save the prices to calculate. Have tried to 5 times! Not sure what the issue is…..

Ingredient List

This app would be better if there was a spot for ingredients as a master list. For example just list the ingredient, amount in bottle/container, and the price paid for it. I don’t need to know how much all the other costs are sometimes (hourly wage, overhead, etc). Then when you import into a recipe, you can change the amount used.

This is a good idea and something we are working on adding. In the meantime you can create a “master recipe” with all your ingredients and sample amounts. This will let you add all ingredients in one go and edit them there if you prefer. Thanks for the feedback.

This app is so rad!!!!!

This app calculated everything I had done on paper down to the ounce and down to the penny. There are some features I would like such as, the ability to copy and paste an old recipe to a new one. The reason is because I have a base ingredient to my cheesecakes that are all the same, but need to add or take away more for different types. Ex: Tobasco Maple with Popeyes chicken vs Butterfinger or Dulce de Leche. Other than that it is amazing!

Just Amazing

When I first started my business, I wasn’t sure on my pricing. I tried calculating myself but if was hard keeping track sometimes, with this app it’s all there. Put the ingredients in and it just does it for you.

I’m confident in my pricing now. Definitely recommend if anyone is starting a food business!

Need folders

Would be great if I could create folders to separate different types of recipes and easily find them. Please update the app. It is only one of a few that works.
There should also be a search bar to search recipes.

Good but needs some better organization and functions

This app is fine for simple use. You can write up a recipe and it prompts for the details of ingredients, which can be reused across recipes.

Cons: no download function or reports. A spreadsheet would be nice (.csv). And for the life of me I can’t figure out how to put things in folders.

Great tool

I wish you could take picture of you recipes to add them. If you could add you base hourly rate, margin and overhead that would be awesome, instead of entering the same thing on each recipe. Being able to add a single ingredient would be stellar.
For something like a frosting it would be nice to have total recipe weight, as it may not exactly have servings like on a cake. Or being able to price it out in a different way than servings such as ounces.

Customer service is very nice and do seem to care, I sincerely appreciate it. This app has definitely been helpful. A few tweaks and upgrades it will be perfect!

Some suggestions to creators

This is the best app I’ve found to help price my baking items, but I do have a few things I’d love to see changed:
- ability to duplicate recipes
- ability to halve/double/triple recipe to see prices for different amounts of same recipe
- a page where I can list all ingredients and change prices there, instead of having to find a certain ingredient in a recipe to alter ingredient price

Thanks for the feedback. 1. You can duplicate recipes by viewing a recipe, tapping Edit, then tapping the little dropdown icon, then tapping "Create a copy". This will duplicate your recipe so you can make edits, but keep the original as-is. 2. Modifying recipe quantities is something we are working on, and we plan to release this as part of a larger feature update in the future. 3. You can view all your ingredients on the Ingredients page by tapping the "Ingredients" tab. You can view any ingredient and see all recipes that use it. Premium users can also edit individual ingredients from this view. Free users can open a recipe and edit the ingredient price there. Ingredient prices will still auto-update for all recipes. Thanks again for the great feedback.

Adding recipes

This is a very helpful app. But there has to be a better way of adding the recipes into the system especially for bakers who have a thick binder full of creative recipes. Maybe photo adding recipes.

Hi Mika. We've made it so that you can copy paste recipes from your library if you have it saved somewhere digital. If you have a physical binder of handwritten recipes and would like to upload those, please get in touch via our support page in the app. We'll be happy to assist you to get those digitised.

Ingredient entry confusion

So, instead of being able to add all my ingredients as I buy them. I have to just put in the recipe first then the cost (within the recipe ) and depending on the recipe wording, some entries are gonna be entered twice or some will not calculate in other recipes because of wording. Example: in my ingredients list there is a prue vanilla entry and a vanilla entry (same product and cost) I added another recipe and it did not generate any cost or vanilla. I wish there was an option to enter your ingredients and total cost before adding my recipe and then the. It’s be calculated based on my measurements.

Hi Bella Thanks for the great feedback. You are correct, currently the app looks at the name of your ingredient in recipes to determine if they are the same and if the price should be shared. We are planning to add the ability to add nicknames to ingredients so that slightly different names can be recognised as the same ingredient. For now though you will need to use the same ingredient spelling in different recipes. As a workaround for wanting to enter all your ingredients first, you can create a "Master recipe" with all your ingredients, then set the price for those. Future recipes will then use the ingredient prices you have already entered for the master recipe. I hope that helps. Please reach out via our support page in the app if you are having other issues. Helpful and efficient

I do not have a math brain and this app saved me so much time and effort. I love that when you use the same ingredient in a new recipe, the cost is already auto saved.

Love it simple and easy and complete

Loving the simplicity, it includes all costs and once costs are in recipe if same ingredient is used in another. The price automatically goes to the other recipe!
