…now what?

Get feedback. Love the tips. But there’s no follow-up. “…this will help determine the best time to feed…” “ok, then what?” Make me a schedule I can put in my phone to tell me what to do AND WHEN. And how about remembering/logging what I was told to do/did last time and building upon that. Seems like each scan thinks it’s a new starter each day… this is an ongoing process. What me through it. $30/yr isn’t expensive, but I get all my other info/help for free so……

Thanks for this, and sorry we left you at 'now what?' We've since added feeding schedules and reminders. Update Loaflo, open Home, and tap 'Set feeding schedule' under 'Your starter.' Choose your feeding interval and next feeding time, turn on reminders, then tap 'Fed now' after feeding. Loaflo remembers your last feeding and moves the next one forward. We've also added step-by-step bake schedules with reminders in Loaflo Pro. Your point about scans building on your starter's history is fair. The schedules are set by you and don't yet adapt automatically from scan history. Thank you for being specific about what was missing.

Helped me figure out what I was doing wrong!

The app (especially scans and ensuing tips) helped me figure out where, when, what I needed to adjust to get better rise out of my sourdough and helped me learn to recognize signs on my own.

I hate when apps don’t advertise a subscription based service in the photos or descriptions— not to mention the paywall keeps popping up with a timer. NAH buh-bye!

Not for beginners

This was advertised as a helper for beginners, starting with the starter. All this is is a recipe database. There’s 1 starter recipe, that’s it. Not worth the money. Because of the false advertising, I contacted support through the website (there are no account options in the app to cancel or contact) and have bo heard back. I want a full refund due to the false advertising, AND it overcharged me by $13 compared to the advertised price.

You’re able to scan, rate, and chat about your sourdough starter, dough, and loaves as well. Not to mention free calculators. We hope you’ll try us again! Pay Wall & Annoying Pop-Up

This is the most annoying app I have ever downloaded in my entire life. Despite not being mentioned in the description, you do have to pay a subscription for all of the features, aside from recipes. Recipes are the only thing you can access free. At first, it appears like you can use it without a subscription, but everything you click on results in a pop-up, trying to force you into the sub subscription. Apparently the developer does not understand that there has to be something I love about the app for me to want to try out the upgraded features. But overall, it’s absolutely annoying. The pop-up that comes up has a little countdown, and you must look at the premium upgrade until it counts all the way down. You cannot just close it immediately. And it persistently pops up. I can get recipes on the Internet. There’s absolutely no reason to use this app. And if there’s no reason to use it, there’s definitely no reason to upgrade.

We also offer feeding calculators for free and are actively working on improving the free suite of tools. That being said, the AI-powered tools are expensive for us to run, so we’re unable to make them free. We’re hoping costs will drop as model performance improves!
