Latest version is buggy
Response from developer
Thank you for reporting this issue. Another user had already contacted me directly through our website's Contact form about the calculation mode occasionally resetting to chain mode (not algebraic as mentioned). This was addressed in version 4.76, which is now available in the App Store. For the fastest response on any matters, I encourage users to reach out through the "Contact" link on our documentation website. This allows me to gather the needed information and address concerns quickly, as happened in this case. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. It helps ensure CALC 1 continues to serve its global user base well.
Asking for review
Response from developer
We apologize for the premature review request. We've since updated our app to ensure review prompts only appear after multiple uses. We value your feedback and have used it to improve the user experience. We hope you'll give our app another try with these changes in place. If you have any other concerns, please contact our support team. Thank you for your understanding.
I'm an old RPN guy
Non stop pestering for a review
Response from developer
We sincerely apologize for the frequent review requests. We've taken your feedback seriously and have significantly reduced the frequency of these prompts. Our updated system now ensures users have ample time to use the app before any review request appears. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve. We hope you'll consider trying our app again with these new changes. If you have any other concerns, please don't hesitate to contact our support team.
Seems great, but asked for a rating 3 seconds after buying
Response from developer
Sorry that happened! It is definitely not my intention to ask for a review so soon. I't looks like there was a change in how the "StoreKit" "asks the user to rate or review your app, if appropriate." I am working on a general update to these iOS changes and will make sure this does not happen again.
Perfect for teaching my finance students
When I prepared for class and write my exams, I always work the examples on CALC 1 to verify my answers. I love how I can export the history details to Notes.
And I also have the inputs for the TVM calculations recorded (N, I/YR, PV, PMT, FV, PYR, CYR and BEG/END) so I can double check all my inputs and answers. Just having the values shown right on the keys prevented a lot of miscalculations. I like that this app also has a 12C that I am very familiar with having taken the CFA. I’d give it an A!
