best calendar app!
I’ve used for 4 years
Love calendars -but was misled
What a calendar app should be
It has all the usually stuff, as well a comprehensive set of online calendars you can subscribe to - things like itemised games in the Olympics and the World Cup. Perfect!
It also has a proper task manager built-in. I haven't checked yet if it's GTD-compatible, but it's better than anything else I've seen in a calendar app.
It has all the views you could want, and they're all configurable.
It has 4 standards for week numbers, which is ideal if you're using it professionally. They're turned off by default.
It has lots of shortcuts and widgets, for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.
You can move events from one calendar to another without issues. This should be the case with all calendar software, but it's not.
On top of all this, it can sync directly with calendar services, so you can be rid of Apple's implementation and its tendency to forget login credentials.
Now the issues:
For direct connections to hosted calendars, it only supports Google and Microsoft calendars (not CalDAV), and Hotmail calendar sync doesn't work for events added from other apps (including Readdle's own Calendars 5 app). This needs some attention.
The natural language input is ok, but it can't handle a short day and date (Sun 5th July) simultaneously, which is what you might paste in, and any event name with a place name in it is going to be recognised as a place and automatically saved as the location, messing up both the event name and the location. It's not very good (and I think the logic is a decade old).
It doesn't have a lockscreen widget for tomorrow. Only for today.
Like most iOS calendar apps, you can't attach files. I don't know why this is.
You can't zoom in on the month view. You can switch view, but pinch-to-zoom with reflow text would often be better suited and it's not supported.
Fantastical

Great App, but…..
Downside for me is that it doesn’t work well with Apple Watch ultra3. The font is way too big for the widget & you can’t read it. Any plans to fix this?
Suggestion also would be tho give an option in tasks to repeat from date completed instead of from due date for recurring tasks.
Other than that - well done! (But the watch widget is really bugging me)
UPDATE: The developers have fixed the widget problem with Apple Watch - well done. Still the best calendar app I have, and continue, to use.
UPDATE: here we are another 12 months down the track and I still think this is the best calendar app on the market.
Super handy, easy to use and dependable.
Disappointed

Now the issues:
The lockscreen widgets clutter up the lockscreen with placeholder text even when there's no information to display, which only serves to make any text in the widget easily disregarded when there is something to read.
I'd like to have 2 wide lockscreen widgets: events today (on the left) and events tomorrow (on the right), but there's no widget setting for events tomorrow.
I'd like to be able to exclude events from specified calendars from showing up on the widgets. I don't think this can be done.
For direct connections to hosted calendars, it only supports Google and Microsoft calendars (not CalDAV) yet Hotmail calendar sync doesn't work for events added from other apps (including Readdle's own Calendars 5 app). This needs some attention.

Like most iOS calendar apps, you can't attach files. I'm guessing Apple's calendar system doesn't allow this and a direct calendar connection will, but I haven't had much luck with the direct calendar connection so I don't use it.
Lastly, you can't zoom in on the month view. You can switch view, but pinch-to-zoom with reflow text would often be better suited and it's not supported.
Could not even use because it wouldn’t load
Not the best
Annoying policy around this app
Now, if you bought the IAP on the free one before they switched it to a subscription, you get all the old premium features in this app. Ok good. That's as it should be. However, if you bought the identical Premium app, you get nothing now, except a nag-screen in that app telling you to "upgrade" to this one - which is massively inferior and doesn't even have the basic features you get in any number of free calendar apps.
So I dislike it, and I don't use it.

The developer has responded below saying this isn't the case. It is, and this isn't the first time I've seen them deny it publicly. DM them and they always respond quickly to say their policy is that the lifetime purchase from Calendars doesn't transfer.
Excellent
Perfect Calendar App, but…
改善をお願いします。
予定を続けて保存する時、保存ボタンと同じ位置に+ボタンがある方が便利なので元に戻していただけたらと思います。(2026年6月)

Best calendar app in existence
This is my all time favorite app because it’s soooo much easier to use. Only things I wish it had were more color options and I wish we could label the colors like “personal” “work” etc. other than that, the app is amazing!!
