What's New in Callsheet

2026.7

August 24, 2026

NEW FEATURES - Now requires iOS 18.6+ and visionOS 2.6+ - Active Plex connections can show data from *all* of your servers, or, optionally, just one server - Embiggened the search box to make it a little more visually obvious IMPROVEMENTS - Playback via Plex via Infuse is now shown in Now Playing - On cold start, Callsheet tries to clean up any cached files more than a day old, to improve storage usage - In Persnickety Preferences, you can also force a cleanup - In the Control Centre widget, removed the redundant "Search" from the subtitle BUG FIXES - Fix rare case where an iCloud failure on startup could clobber the local pins cache - Fix uncommon layout issue in the carousel for TV seasons with long names - Prevent aggressive reloading of data for people, which among other things, prevents heights from disappearing - Fix issue with AppleTV TV premieres showing the wrong date, particularly on the west coast of the US - Fix issue with movie collections being hidden when one of the movies didn't have a release date - Some defensive programming to prevent a crash-on-launch. (Nerds: I played fast and loose with an IUO, and I paid for it. Learn from my mistakes. IYKYK.) - Fix issue with dates if the device is not using a Gregorian calendar - Fix potential race conditions around pins (Nerds: class in question is now on MainActor) - Fix rare case where fast-fingered users could lose Recents or History if they use the app before a full iCloud sync - Fix rare case where images get stuck as unable to be loaded until the app is force-quit - Improve cast list consistency for TV shows, particularly when loading via URL or deep link - Fix top of search history pills being clipped on Discover - Fix bug with cache bookkeeping - Fix bug with app version number equality comparisons which is only used for some internal decision-making - Fix bugs with Recent Searches & Search History that should hopefully fix some rare odd behaviours - Fix potential hang in Channels integration - Fix case where the wrong pin could be removed on-device - Enable Passive Plex connections to be restarted once stopped - Fix rare crash if UDP socket can't be created for Passive Plex connections - Improved handling of Plex client names - Fix some deprecation warnings - Silence spurious log noise - Fix crashes when a malformed callsheet:// URL is parsed - Fix rare instance where a crash could happen if a user had no pin lists - Fix issue where one bad Active Plex connection could prevent good ones from connecting - Automatically restart stopped integrations - Properly reload data if iCloud tells the app something has changed, but isn't specific about _what_ changed - Fix rare case where loading and then insta-quitting could clear the last active pin list - Prevent data races with all the Now Playing integrations (Nerds: they're all actors now)

inaccurate information

A lot of movies show up as TV shows like Rooney Mara was in a movie called Mary Magdalene, but it's listed as a 60 episode TV show. It's really odd

Fantastic app, delivers exactly the info I want, with zero grossness

I used to use IMDB’s app which is fine but not well-designed, things I regularly want are hard to find, lots of little frustrations.
You can really tell this app scratches the author’s itch, each detail and feature is well thought-out, and it’s a pleasure to use.
I’ve long since deleted IMDB.

Stunningly good!

Things I especially love about the app:

1. No ads!!
2. Uncredited cast members are included!
3. Actors’ ages at time of filming are included!
4. Actual release notes are included, vs. generic “bug fixes and improvements”!!

Clearly a labour of love, always being improved upon. Love it!

Awesome

So fast and informative. I use Callsheet all the time. Helps me discover new things my favorite actors have done, even when they have credits from other countries and languages.

The Essential Viewing Companion

This is a must-have app for any avid media consumer. Fast, clean, customizable to avoid spoilers—there’s no better way to look up details about the movie, episode, actor, crew for a piece of media than this.
