About

Calmity is a real-time panic-episode companion and behavior change system that treats panic less like a mysterious medical event and more like a repeating pattern with incentives, avoidance habits, and social consequences. In the moment, it runs a no-friction ‘take over my brain’ protocol: short commands, timed breathing, sensory grounding, and a ruthless focus on getting you through the next 180 seconds. Afterward, it does the part most apps avoid: it asks what you don’t want to admit. Not just ‘what triggered you,’ but what you were trying to avoid (a conversation, an email, intimacy, being judged, leaving the house), what you gained (escape, reassurance, attention, permission to stop), and what it cost (missed work, relationship strain, self-trust erosion). It then builds a personalized prevention plan that targets the real loops: avoidance, reassurance-seeking, safety behaviors, caffeine/sleep debt, rumination, and “I need certainty” checking. The uncomfortable edge: many people don’t just want calming—they want a private authority figure that tells them what’s real, gives permission to bail, or forces them not to. The app leans into that by offering two modes: ‘Rescue’ (stabilize now) and ‘Exposure’ (do the hard thing safely, on purpose). It tracks which one you choose and shows you the truth: are you getting better, or are you getting better at escaping? FEATURES: • One-tap ‘Panic Button’ with a 3-minute guided protocol (breathing, grounding, body scanning) designed for minimal reading and maximal compliance • AI ‘Command Mode’: short, directive prompts that reduce decision fatigue (e.g., “Stand up. Feet on floor. Name 5 objects. Inhale 4.”) • Post-episode ‘No-Lies Debrief’: guided reflection that captures trigger, context, sensations, catastrophic story, safety behaviors, avoidance, reassurance-seeking, and the hidden payoff • Personal Pattern Map: timeline heatmap of triggers (sleep debt, caffeine, alcohol, conflict, deadlines, loneliness, hormonal cycle, social exposure) and the user’s most common escape routes • Rescue vs Exposure Plan: personalized weekly plan with graded exposure tasks, ‘anti-avoidance’ nudges, and scripts for reducing reassurance behaviors • Reassurance Budget Partner Mode (optional): set limits on checking/texting; generate healthier messages that don’t recruit others into the panic loop SUBSCRIPTION INFORMATION: • Free trial available - try all premium features before subscribing • Subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period • Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period • You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to Settings Apple ID Subscriptions Privacy Policy: https://hatchingpoint.com/calmity/privacypolicy Terms of Use: https://hatchingpoint.com/calmity/terms
