To use the app correctly, make sure to use it in a sufficiently dark environment and with the flash of your mobile phone pointing towards the surface of your rotational device. When the flashing light (flash per minute) and the revolutions per minute of the device match, the mark on the device will look solid. Our app is designed to help you find the RPM (rotations per minute) of a device using blinking light. Here's how it works: Adjust the blinking speed using the buttons provided. When the blinks per minute match the device's rotations per minute, the marked point on the device will appear stationary. This works best in suitable darkness as the blinking light needs to be clearly visible. Alternatively, you can also use your camera to calculate RPM based on frames per minute. Adjust the blinking speed using the controls until the mark on the object appears stationary—this indicates the RPM.
