About

Every camping app tells you whether a site is available. None of them tell you whether it's worth being there. Camply maps 33,000+ campgrounds, dispersed areas and RV sites, and answers the questions a booking form can't: Is it under a Red Flag Warning? How cold does it get tonight? Is the road washed out? Is there a fire ban? Is anyone actually there right now? No account. No sign-up. No ads. A CONDITIONS SCORE FOR EVERY CAMPGROUND A live 0–100 score and a Rough-to-Prime band, computed from the National Weather Service forecast for that campground's exact coordinate — not the nearest town thirty miles down the valley, which in the mountains is a completely different place. The drivers behind the score are spelled out, so you can disagree with it. REPORTS FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE ACTUALLY THERE You can only file a condition report for a campground you're standing in. The app hides the button when you're too far away, and the server independently refuses the submission. A report is proof someone was there — not a guess typed from a couch. Twenty-five things worth knowing: level site, rocky, muddy, shaded, exposed, water on, water off, toilets clean, firewood available, bear box, buggy, windy, noisy, quiet, smoky, fire ban, road rough, road fine, snow on road, gate closed, wide open, filling up, full. A campground glows on the map for 24 hours after a fresh report. FIRE WEATHER AND FREEZING NIGHTS Set an alert on a campground and your phone watches it: Red Flag and fire-weather warnings, an overnight low crossing the temperature you choose, or the conditions score reaching Good or Prime. A freezing night is the single most common way a camping trip goes badly wrong, and it's the number people most often forget to check. A STARGAZING FORECAST THAT WORKS WITH NO SIGNAL Moon phase, moonrise and moonset, true astronomical darkness and cloud cover for tonight — computed entirely on your device. No network call, so it still works at a trailhead with no bars, which is exactly where you need it. EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE MAP Campgrounds, state and national parks, points of interest and fishing spots as permanent layers. Active National Weather Service warnings — fire, Red Flag, excessive heat, high wind, storm and flood — drawn on the map and repeated inside every popup. Hourly weather for any point you tap. A private logbook of every report you've filed, with the weather exactly as it was. FREE, AND WE MEAN IT The map, every layer, the conditions score, the warnings, the reports, the logbook and the dark-sky forecast are free forever. Camply Pro ($3.99/month or $24.99/year) removes the 3-campground and 3-alert limits. That's the entire difference. We don't paywall weather you might get caught out in. BUILT ON PUBLIC DATA Camply reads the same services that power snoflo.org — National Weather Service point forecasts and active alerts, USGS streamflow, public land-management records and OpenStreetMap. A campground's score is identical whether you open the app or the website. IMPORTANT Camply is for trip planning, not safety or navigation. It is not a reservation service and does not book, confirm, or guarantee availability — always check with the agency that manages the land. Campground data can be wrong or out of date. Forecasts and scores are estimates. The absence of a fire warning in the app does not mean there is no fire danger. Alerts are delivered on a best-effort basis by iOS and can be delayed or missed. Never rely on Camply for emergency decisions. Terms and privacy: https://snoflo.org/products/camply
