Needs improvement
I really enjoy this game, but it is so ridiculous that I will get four fives and sixes from the deck repeatedly. Also, robot number two, my so-called partner, is a complete idiot. It’s like playing with the beginner. He doesn’t know how to discard.

Terrible new graphics
It seems like the app went backwards in time. Seems like something I would’ve played in the 1990s. Hard to follow. Cards don’t look real. I am not enjoying this change at all.
Awful update!
Horrible colors, horrible robot icons (childish), difficult to see scores on the pop-up screen. I wish I could revert to previous version. I will not be renewing this subscription.

The new version is almost unusable because of the full-screen ads that you can’t get rid of. Time to find a different canasta app.

The Recent Update was a Downgrade
Been playing this game for a while and really don’t like the recent update. It went from looking like an adult game to a kiddie game with all the colors and oversized layout. Not sure if there were any hidden improvements but the view of the game is distracting, hard to read, and seems totally unnecessary.

IF Only…
I’ve played Canasta for probably 50 years, which is to say, I understand the game. They changed some rules ( like role of black threes and a few others)…got it !
What I find unacceptable is there are too many errors of the score calculations on basic scoring …like # of canastas. This is a no brainer and very frustrating!

Minus 5 on Solitaire Games
My Robot partners are super dumb, they’re less than beginner so no matter the effort you put into the game, they will mess it up big time without a doubt: next robot to them will always get the pack, you close and they have 3x7 and/Or 3xAces… If this is a way to get you pay for the membership, no thank you…

Solitaire mode stinks
Again, your solitaire mode is biased towards the robot. Constant 7’s hands even though I have not discarded any 7’s. Opponents have all the 7s. Constant wild card canastas for the robot hand. Why bother to play if the robot constantly wins with these hands that they are dealt.
Warning to users and Canasta Junction
Just get a phishing attempt after I finished a game and tried to start. It said hit continue and a fake Apple purchase showed up for me to approve or cancel with a fake number to call.

Things to know if you want to enjoy the game!
The ads keep getting longer and longer but it isn’t a big deal if you just close the game and then reopen it. The game does not keep a long term count of wins & losses. No problem unless you have no internet (think airplane and you won’t be able to open the game at all)…but I just pull out my book and read for 5 minutes, then go back to the game.
Great game but things to be aware of that the programmers do to make the game harder:
* Your bot partner will typically not hold on to 7’s but will have 2 Aces. And, it is programmed to ALWAYS drop a 7 after it melds. If you pick up the pack near the end, do not plan on your partner to have ANY 7’s. BUT, Bot 1 & 3 have been programmed to keep two 7’s!
*You and your bot partner will be dealt opposite cards so pay attention to what your partner drops.
* Your partner (BOT 2) is programmed to regularly holds 4, 5 and/or 6’s when you need 155 or 180 to meld, so it will quite often not have enough points to do a meld…you will have to.
*Typically, you will draw a 7 or an Ace on the last draw or two. Big problem if you pick up the pile near the end and try to dump all of your 7’s & Aces, so be aware!
All that said, I love this game and play it A LOT. Since I stopped watching the ads, the game has been much more enjoyable! STOP WATCHING THEIR ADS🤩

Some improvements but MANY long running issues!

No problem unless you are on an airplane (with no internet)…but I just pull out my book and read for 5 minutes, then go back to the game. Anything to make their ads ineffective—don’t drive yourselves crazy, just don’t watch them!
The biggest problem that you cannot avoid is your ignorant partner! Programmers/Owners wrote back to me a year ago saying they were going to fix the following issues:
* my bot partner typically drops all its 7’s—and saves Aces. How hard could it be to teach Bot 2 to STOP THAT?? It ALWAYS drops one 7 after it melds, ALWAYS. You cannot ever depend on your partner having even one 7 but it almost always has 2 Aces.
* my bot partner regularly holds 4, 5 and/or 6’s when we have to make a count of 155 or 180
*I regularly draw a 7 AND/or an Ace on the last draw, sometimes a 7 and an ace on the last 2 draws. Big problem if you pick up the pile, so be aware!

Thank you for your feedback! We are actively working on improving the gaming experience regarding the robot performance, among others, to enhance the management of 7s and Aces in order to not mis-signal his partner and a better discard priority when needing 155 and 180 to open. Stay tuned!

So many times when u look at your partners hand they could have laid down with perfect hands,doing nothing ! Too many errors, I,m not perfect but you should be better at this!

Starting to hate this game
I have been enjoying this game since the pandemic. Now I’m starting to hate it and I not only find these ads frustrating they are very stressful when you can’t get back to the game without shutting down the iPad or phone and powering back up. 3 times I have complained about that problem with the vita mahjogn ad and just now when I played there it was and I had to shut down and power up again. I don’t mind paying that yearly fee Instead and I can even tolerate the ad that have the close box if I had to but if I constantly have to shut down and power up again I will be looking to delete this app and join a different app. Can’t handle being this annoyed
