Great version

Not all rules strictly followed but very enjoyable. I’ve played a few of the off line versions and this is by far my favourite. I am unable to change the game parameters but still prefer the view and way of playing over others I have played. Thank you!

Not Quite There

Love Canasta… this could be a 5 star game if I wasn’t playing against 3 computers. I still win but it’s frustrating. My partner skips ask before going out even though it’s against the setting I marked. My supposed partner, hardly EVER picks up, deliberately discards in favor of the opponent.
Please make this a great game!! It deserves to be!

Awesome!

Several of the most popular games around all bundled into one great collection.
Spades, Canasta, Hearts and more!!
I love this collection!!

Why doesn’t my partner pick up the pile?

It’s so very frustrating when you were playing Canasta for four. You have a partner. And you literally watch one and then two and three times it passes by and your partner does not pick it up when they can. And then comes the next time and the other team picks up the pile and takes it all. What is the programmer’s logic to that? If I was sitting in the seat where my partner was I could’ve picked that pile up so many times. I could’ve made Canastas. What is their programming logic really?

Aaaahhhhh

Every time that your partner should pick up, they don’t, and then they discard a card your opponents need, giving them the cards you needed as well as the points they needed. Super frustrating waste of time.

FAQ

What is Canasta?

Canasta is a popular card game belonging to the rummy family, also known as Argentine Rummy. It's characterized by the use of joker cards, which adds an element of unpredictability and challenge to the gameplay. Players form melds and aim to create a 'canasta,' a group of seven cards, to finish rounds.

How do you win in Canasta?

The objective of Canasta is to score points by forming melds, which are groups of cards of the same rank. A special meld of seven cards is called a canasta. The first team to reach a score of 5000 points wins the game.

Is Canasta a single-player game?

No, Canasta is designed for team play. In this application, you play as a team with a computer opponent against another computer team. This setup allows for strategic partnerships and competitive rounds.

What makes Canasta challenging?

The inclusion of joker cards significantly increases the game's challenge and unpredictability. These wild cards can be used in melds and add a dynamic element, requiring players to adapt their strategies on the fly.
