Good companion app
Canopy fixed the ‘Active Work’ bug so I’m happy with that.
Other than that, this is a good companion app for your firm management. I call it companion because it doesn’t sport all the features the web version does. It’d be awesome if more features could be added to bring the experiences closer together. Sending questionnaires and signature requests to clients through the app is my top request. Creating invoices and sending would be a nice touch as well. Overall, happy with the app, but there is small room to improve on missing features so 4*.

The best tool ever
Canopy has more than you think and is the best I love it .
Latest Update
The newest update broke tasks. States “Something went wrong and just shows a blank screen”. Everything else seems to be okay
UPDATE: seems like the issue is only when you have filter selected to the default “Active Work”. Other filters seem to show the tasks.

Review of our CRM
Best decision our small CPA firm made, was going to Canopy, 4 years ago. It is honestly perfect. Easy to use for our clients as well as our employees. Lots of great features that are geared for CPAs. Remarkable product and pricing is very fair.

Not perfect, but close enough!
I’m not sure how many different options I’ve used over the years, but Canopy is hands down my favorite. I reduced multiple platforms to one. Not everything is perfect, but everything is workable from okay to excellent. And they are constantly looking to improve. I don’t even look at other options any more.

Fantastic client mgmt app
Great app! So many things can be accomplished while just being on the app. Would love to be able to see task comments accessible on the mobile app. Not currently possible.

Limited App Capabilities
Love the web based platform, but the app is very limited in what I can do as a firm administrator. I wish I could run reports,submit time, access billing, etc..
Client List
Not everyone shows up when you need to search for a client. Makes it useless when you can’t see the client. But when you can it’s great. I can’t find about 50% of my searches.

Excellent addition to Practice Mngmt Platform
We use the Canopy Tax platform for Accounting Practice Management. The web based software is quite good as compared to other platforms. However, the companion app is fantastic! I can get so much pertinent information from it! It is very useful when I am out of the office, either at a client or just not working. It allows me to answer clients questions without having to log onto the software on my PC. The fact that I can log my time while working at a client’s office is also very good. If I had to ask for one improvement, it would be the ability to bill a client through the app. Overall I strongly recommend this app to any accounting practitioner.

There is no way to see what items have been uploaded or commented on by clients, nor does the files section denote any new files until you open a client’s folder. The app is handy for quick reference, but not really a workable part of the day. I would like to see tasks sortable by date, client, or status, as well as a Notification Center so that I know when clients have commented on a request or uploaded a file.

Best CRM
We have been using this for years. It is the center of the universe for us and our clients. Just amazing features and option!!!!
More functionality needed
This app is great for on the go file management, but it lacks in other areas. 90% of the time I cannot find the client that I need to refer to. The ability to add notes would be amazing while on the go. Maybe a read-only function of the organizers could help. Looking forward to seeing what upgrades can be made.

Accounting office
We have been able to adapt r really well to canopy as part of our practice. It’s convenient and practical to have all clients info concentrated in one place and to provide them their own login access to the clients portal. I tell them that our office provides them with their very own digital file vault with our office where their information is securely stored and accessible at any time. It’s really been great. I’d love to see the clients ability to submit requests to the office through the same platform in the future.

Just missing integration with Practice Ignition!
I’ll start by listing what I love about Canopy… Everything! For having seemingly endless abilities and customization, the program feels beginner-friendly and the interface is neat. The client view really stands out amongst competitors.
However there is one inconvenience I have to add-the lack of integration with Practice Ignition. Canopy is, of course, still worth the headache. But boy, is it a headache.

Absolute best firm mgmt software and team
You guys at Canopy really are the best and I feel that I can ask for assistance and you don’t just provide feedback, you literally update the software to fix things that I come across. I’ve never had a company take tech issues so seriously. I feel this last update was just for me (at least that’s how it feels) and I’m so happy I moved to Canopy. I’m excited for a lifelong journey with you all!! :)
