This is not a good app at all. It is essentially just flashcards, but does not have any phrases to help you build the idea of how the language actually works. Also, it looks like they are trying to add numbers to indicate tone, but for someone just starting, they will have no idea what this means

Easy learning
I get a download every day and I go over the words every day. The thing I like about the site is that the words are spelt out in Cantonese which helps with pronunciation and is also a visual aid to learning. Very happy with this app!

I find this app to be very user friendly and intuitive. I adjusted some of the settings (sped up the English spoken words, for example) to create the most efficient learning experience for me. I live with a native Cantonese speaker and after one week of using this app, we have designated at least an hour a day to only speak Cantonese. If I could, I would give this six stars! Zeng!

Frustrating
I bought the full versions on iPad. But on my iPhone, it still locked and requires to buy again!!! The data between those two devices are also not synced which is very frustrating and absurd.
Easy to use and great for pronouncation
Highly recommend the app. I upgraded to the full version and like the ability to repeat and compare my tone. Also the vocabulary chosen is very applicable for conversational learners.

This app is supposed to record you and put you saying the word or phrase next to the voice teaching you so you can compare. It doesn’t do that though, they say the word and then they say the next word and then they let you record so you’re trying to keep it in your mind the word or phrase you need to record while they’re saying the next word throwing your concentration off then you record while they’re getting ready to go to the next word, and then you record while they’re saying the next word and you never get to hear both side by side. What a crappy app.

But is this Simplified or Traditional and is there an option to choose?
The Cantonese people in the Mainland, Malaysia and Singapore speak & write Simplified: this is the common language in these regions (traditional is usually used exclusively, in documents, in businesses and to impress).
I can’t tell if this app is teaching, simplified or traditional Chinese (Cantonese). So I can’t use it until I know which is being taught.
Kindly waiting on Developer’s response., ty.
