Too many mistakes with tones
Perhaps there should be a link for users to send in their discoveries of mistakes.
Great app but..
This is very helpful for me as Cantonese is my second language. But recent update you are not able to cancel the ad once it’s finished. Please fix this !!
No Jyut Pin
An update or two ago, this app would show pronunciations in both jyut pin and pin yin. Now it’s even worse. It’s showing jyut pin as the pin yin!
My Go-To Chinese dictionary
The dictionary is the most versatile of all dictionaries I have used. A search can be done using English or Chinese (traditional or simplified characters). The pronunciation guide is given in both Cantonese and Mandarin. Aside from offering the meaning of a single word, the dictionary also lists phrases and idiomatic expressions using the word.

Update Disappointment!!
Why is the update a disappointment because it’s now messed up. Cantonese and Mandarin had swapped! Why do I want this app when I can use Google translation for free in Mandarin? Also I’ve purchased the removed ad and now the app doesn’t recognize!? I can’t restore my purchase…should have left this alone!! 😭😭

Ads handling ruined this app
Although ads are important to app developers, the unusual way ads are handled by this app makes this otherwise nice app relatively useless. Sad.
Ads, ads, ads!
Cannot use the app because the large ads appear, take up almost the entire screen, not possible to close the ads, therefore cannot use the translation app!
Very Limited
This is exactly what it’s called, a dictionary. I’m a native Cantonese speaker. I have been using this app to make connections to Mandarin words.
And the only best use so far I’ve found is to search by Chinese characters to see how they’re pronounced in Canto (pronunciations are spot on A+). Aside from that, all else is very limited. Translating from English is limited to mostly single words. Put in two or more and it doesn’t always give you a translation. Basically don’t expect this to be like Google Translation which is also still very limited with Cantonese, too. Tip: if you searched Chinese words that you heard in Mandarin and it doesn’t give any results, it’s likely not used in that way in Canto.

A MUST HAVE APP FOR CANTONESE
A bit late but…
I downloaded this app about a decade ago and it was basically the only reason why I survived Cantonese classes in Hong Kong. The classes I took were for non-Chinese students, but they were still really difficult, especially for someone who had zero knowledge in Cantonese. And the school I went to actually placed me in a class where the students had already taken at least 3 years of Cantonese classes because I went to Hong Kong halfway through high school.
I’m happy to see how much this app has improved since then and hope the developer keeps up the great work. And thank you for helping me survive high school. :)
