Used to work
The app used to work. I got a new phone and now it won’t pair with the probe. It was never great to begin with, but this was the final straw. Going in the trash tonight.
Older version was better
I just started smoking a turkey for Thanksgiving and my app had offloaded. The new version installed and only shows overall temp. Useless now. Need to have my alarms and recommend temps back

Time calculation not working
The time estimate does not work, always saying it will take less than a minute to cook, regardless of whether the item is room temperature or nearly done. Thankfully, the alarm works, but only when the app is open.

Disappointed
After an upgrade the estimated time to completion always says <1 minute. Also needs a way to auto shut off. Goes through batteries so quickly if you don’t manually power it down after each use.
Terrible App
UPDATE: This garbage crashes 100% of time. I cannot use it. Stay away.
Crashes 80% of the time when opening, loses Bluetooth connection the 20%. What else can I say.

Where is the manual? There is no more an Info tab!
Why not add temperature range alarms (low and high) for slow cooking. The rest of the app is great and I would give it 5 stars easy.

This app used to be a decent app
This app used to be a good app but not anymore , it is impossible to select a meat temperature it is always revert the temperature back to 256°F . The thermometer work well but the app is 2 thumbs down :(
Works very well
I own the CAPPEC as well as idevices and Weber remote thermometers.
The CAPPEC device and app are very solid performers. The batteries MUST be good. This works via Bluetooth and IS NOT WIFI. The range is not bad for me. Works to the same distance as any Bluetooth speakers work for me.

Current version is non functional
It does not work on both my iPhone 6 and 7. It is completely non responsive after launching the app.
App useless
The app won't go past the first screen. Downloaded the app on my Samsung phone and it works... However the Bluetooth range is about 20' at best.
Is there more than the home screen?

DON'T THROW IT AWAY!
My App would not work. Found, by accident, that if you turn on the thermometer within a few feet of your IPhone, the app works. Make sure you have fresh batteries in your thermometer and you should be good to go.
Totally lame!
I bought my CAPPEC NS-BTH01 a couple of years ago. It is totally accurate but the range on the Bluetooth was awful!!! I had to keep my phone in the window 15' from the cooker in order to not lose connectivity. Kind of makes it a pointless buy. The original App was pretty nice. Gave tons of info about your cook times, current temperatures and alarms for over temp on the cooker. The new App makes my thermometer a paper weight at best! It connects but I have absolutely 0 usability of the App. All I get is the over temp alarm... There are so many other companies out there making a fantastic quality product without these issues.

App won't advance past the home screen
Doesn't work after the update
The app won't work on my iPhone after the update. What a bummer for the summer grilling season. Emailed CAPPEC with no response. I wouldn't purchase this again due to this update.
Cannot select device
Since the upgrade, after I launch the app I cannot select the device.
What happened!
I've been using this app for a couple years. Suddenly there's a new version that I can't even open I don't know what's going on I can't seem to figure out how to get the thing to work. It's totally unresponsive
POS upgrade
Used to work ok until the latest update. The new interface won't connect with my probe anymore. Thanks, guys. You took a working probe and bricked it. I'll buy elsewhere
USDA guidelines not entirely current
The setting for turkey shows the old USDA guidelines. Recently, the USDA revised a lot of guidelines. These need to be incorporated. For instance, at 180°F (the temperature shown on the device) the turkey will be dry. The current guideline is 165°F.
