Hi, sorry to hear you're having difficulties. Do you have premium connectivity or are you tethering your phone to your Tesla? Once your phone is linked to the Tesla display and you select Drive mode, it should connect as normal. If you want to email hello@caracastapp.com we can help you further with this.

Hi, Sorry to hear you’ve had a negative experience. The reason for this is DRM, a number of apps don’t allow streaming for copy protection. You can watch your own movies on the app from apps such as VLC as well as IPTV and some streaming apps too. App support and restrictions are listed in the App Store listing to outline this in full as well as the help and support section in the app too. We offer a free tier for anyone who wants to try before they buy.

I’m sorry to hear you’ve had a bad experience but the app listing clearly states this app is for Tesla vehicles. The word Tesla is in the app subtitle, it’s all over the App Store images, the word Tesla is mentioned 11 times in the description and the supported vehicle list has only Tesla vehicles on it.
Latency is terrible

I appreciate your reply but see two issues. The Bluetooth connection to my car is considered the key, so I never turn that off. Second, the fact that your app requires a stable internet connection is a flaw that other apps in this space do not have. Other apps have you connect your car to your phones hotspot so they are directly linked. For some reason your app requires everything to through your servers. Added point of failure as well as added security risk.

Sorry to hear you've had a bad experience. In terms of latency, double check the connection speed you have on both your car and phone, a poor signal is the main reason for latency. We're going to build a connection tester into the app in the future. That said, with your use case latency should be irrelevant. Make sure you're not using Bluetooth audio but turning off the Bluetooth connection. The audio will stream to the browser and remain in sync with the video playing and store your phone away and you should have no problems watching Plex.
