Car Video Check

With iOS 27, cars that work with CarPlay can play videos while the vehicle is parked. Finding out whether your car can do this is not easy, though. Car Video Check answers exactly that one question. HOW IT WORKS 1. Connect your iPhone to CarPlay as usual – wired or wireless. 2. Open Car Video Check on your car's display. Only then can the app ask whether your car offers video playback while parked. 3. The result appears on your car's display and on your iPhone in one large, easy-to-read banner. If Car Video Check does not appear on your car's display at all, your car does not support video playback: CarPlay only shows video apps in cars that support video. The banner has four states: • Video playback supported • Video playback not supported • Open the app in your car – CarPlay is connected, but the app has not been opened on the car's display yet • Not connected – while no car is connected You see the result as long as your iPhone is connected. After disconnecting, the app shows "Not connected" again. GOOD TO KNOW • The feature has to be enabled by the car manufacturer. Many cars do not support it yet; some may only get it with a later software update of the infotainment system. Car Video Check cannot add or unlock the feature. • Car Video Check only shows what your car reports to your iPhone. The app does not play any videos itself. • In the car, videos only play while parked. Playback while driving is not intended. • Requires iOS 27 and a car that works with CarPlay. Without a connected car, the app shows "Not connected". PRIVACY Car Video Check collects no data, and the app stores no data. There is no account, no advertising, no tracking and no network connection.
