CarbonCruise allows you to collect high-quality tree data under the forest canopy using your iPhone. This app replaces manual fieldwork methods with a digital workflow, allowing you to easily capture tree diameter, height, carbon, location, and species, no additional tools required. At this time, CarbonCruise supports plot data collection for a 400m^2 fixed radius plot. Key features: • Digital Fieldwork: Replace manual tools with your mobile device to collect plot data faster. • LiDAR Measurement: Easily measure tree diameter and height using the iPhone’s built-in LiDAR scanner and/or camera. • Offline Capability: Work offline in remote areas and save data directly to your device. How it works: • Create a Plot: Enter your plot’s name and location. The app will generate a map showing your position within the boundaries of the 400m2 fixed radius plot. • Measure: Choose a tree and use the on-screen guides to capture its diameter and height. • Add Details: Input species information and any additional notes about the tree or plot. • Sync & Analyze: Once your plot is complete, sync the data to the cloud for reporting and further analysis.
