Even More Useful with…
I’ve had this app for several years and I’ve shared it with lots of people who find it incredibly useful. Because I like this app so much, I’m writing to suggest a few features that would make it even more useful than it already is.
As a person who has had laryngitis and throat surgery, being able to type out what I need to communicate is invaluable. I also use it to communicate in quiet settings or from across the room.
Conversely, I also use it with transcription for communicating with people who are deaf, heard of hearing or visual processors. Subtitles, anyone?
(1) [On-Screen Keyboard Visibility Toggle]
It would be incredibly useful to have a toggle button on the screen that makes the keyboard slide out of the way and stay out of the way for times when you want to use transcription alone. This is handy for casual conversations that are slowed down by editing for spelling, grammar or punctuation.
The size of the text gets smaller as you continue to speak (or type) so there is a lot of screen real estate wasted by the keyboard if you don’t really need it to make corrections while you’re engaged in a conversation. The text would stay larger for longer without the keyboard in the way.
If you’re actively dictating and want to make corrections while transcription is live, then a toggle option would allow a choice for the keyboard to remain active. For example, I just now chose to correct “your” to “you’re” as I was dictating.
This app hasn’t been updated for many years so maybe live transcription edits were not an available OS feature at the time.
(2) [Adaptive Text]
I’d like an app Settings option to:
(A) reduce text size to accommodate quantity (current design)
(B) set text size to ____ then overflow automatically to the next page as text reaches the edge while keeping dictation active (this way, you don’t have to keep tapping the microphone and you can keep speaking and dictating text while conversing with someone who is deaf.
The ability to shake the screen to erase should remain. I really like that.
I sincerely hope the developer hasn’t abandoned this app and that it will continue to work for future versions of OS updates.
I am currently using iOS 26 as of the writing of this review and the app still seems solid so I doubt this app needs much continuing development to keep it compatible. The features I’m suggesting would really improve it and an update would make it look less like abandonware. Thank you very much for making this app and for your consideration!

It’s okay
I wish the app respond faster when a person speaks into it. I had to wait for it to generate a text while the person was waiting for me and wondering what’s up. I guess the tech is not up to that fast yet. And no language translator available. Like, if the person speaks Spanish it should be able to translate to English. The app has no setting to configure, like font size.

One thing could be improved
Works great. Love it as someone who is Deaf and can now speak but not hear anything. Only thing that could be improved is I wish the microphone would stay on until you turned it off or exited the app. It turns off too quick now. Sometimes there are pauses in conversations and then the person goes to speak again and the microphone button shuts off right before they speak and I have to hit button again and ask them to repeat that.

I’d make text even larger when less text is typed
If possible, thanks!
Speech to text?!?!
What happened to the speech to text option?!?!
Exactly what I was looking for!
Needed a simple text communication app, that would save common messages (like food orders, ‘please/thank you’, etc.) and display them in big, easily readable text with a click.
Other AAC apps are great tools but most of their features, I don’t need or use. Many have large visual icons, which i personally don’t need & which take up lots of space. So they weren’t the right fit. But this one is! Thank you to the dev(s) for coding this— and even more for making it free :)

Wish there was option to contact app developer / Tim Kettering?
There is no reporting available through Apple, no reporting or contact on the app, nor website.
Its “use as is”. Which is fine - but unfortunately the app may soon be irrelevant as other apps improve and innovate based on user needs.
It would be nice to be able to make suggestions for app improvements or report problems.

Anyway to make the text size slightly smaller?
erase button please
shake to erase is not enough
Champ
This app helps me to communicate with hearing people through our conversations or order something, it helps us to read and write smoothly. Lol some people had hard time to read the note app but this app is helps at all.
Assistance
I can’t contact developer.I thought the speech to text feature could be used off line.If so HOW?Thank you.
Love it! And I got a question…
I use this app all the time to communicate with hearing people and type in my orders, etc. Can this app be also made for apple watches?
My go-to app!
This is a great app— use it for many situations. Been using it for a couple of years now! Love the speech-to-text feature, and how fast the app starts to type when I click on the mic. Love that everything is saved automatically in history. The only feature I would like to see added to this is the ability to set the note to “scroll” because longer conversations make the text super, super tiny. I have to start a new note and my conversation history is stored in multiple notes.

A Must for Deaf People!
I love this app and use it all the time. I hate all the other apps. This one is the best one and easy to use. No complaints!
RE: For frustrated users
This app is simplistic at best making it uniquely useful. The first thing I would say to 1st time users upon opening the app, is to swipe "left to right" then select "Help" at the bottom to aquaint yourself with it's simple instructions. Once done, touch middle of screen with finger and swipe down to exit. With these two gestures you won't get be frustrated trying to maneuver the app to get acquainted with it. My favorite is that nothing ever gets deleted unless you go to "History" and make an effort yourself to delete it . The only
recommendation (my personal one at that) to request, would be to offer a "Yellow" background in the "Card Color Settings" screen to mimic notepad paper.
Hope this helps new users as I wouldn't have shared this if I didn't enjoy the app so much! 👍

I lost my notes!
I was writing notes going in and out of the app when I went back the last time MY NOTES WERE GONE! This app does not auto-save and that’s a BIG PROBLEM
Much better
Cardzilla was lovely except for being confusing about when/whether notes were saved – and they’ve FIXED IT! This is now my favourite app. Thanks so much for responding to feedback and making the app just right.
Stroke people
I love this app! Because I have Bad Aphasia from my stroke so my communication is hard and Cardzilla helps when I talk to others. 🧠
Bare essential
The bare-bones interface makes the app a miracle of simplicity. I’d like to be able to disable the shake-to-erase feature though. It’s super handy if using the app to facilitate an in-person conversation, but I’ve accidentally erased text in other situations
Love the app
It’s awesome app!! Since iOS 13 rolled out, there’s dark mode, I would love to see Cardzilla to add dark mode option
