Logs out each time app is closed

The app overall works, but it logs you out each time it’s used. I have to re log in with google account.
It’s been happening for 2+ months. I emailed support, they elevated the ticket & it still is not fixed. That was over 30 days ago now.

The best tracker

It’s really nice to keep the maintenance tracked

Easy way to track service reports

Enjoying how easy it is to record services

Made for car dealers

This “service” doesn’t allow for any input from owners regarding defective vehicles. Defect issues cannot be entered into vehicle history. It is a service for manufacturers and dealers!

Service update

This Carfax Car Care is great it tells me when I need to do my services and I can put it in as well not just the shop.

Good until it wasn’t

I’ve been using this app for several years now and absolutely loved it, until this recent update and it deleted everything in my account (all my cars, notes) everything! I’m not sure if I wanna start over again or not. I’ve done a lot of repairs myself and made notes in the app so I knew exactly when things were done, but since this recent update, all my stuff is gone. Not too happy with this and will probably be looking for a different app to keep track of everything, along with writing things down.

Canadian Version and no support for snow tires???

When I opened the app tonight it informed me that I am using the Canadian version of the app. And yet, when I wanted to add snow tires, there was no way to do this.
Not very Canadian.

EXCELENTE

Muy buena app para tener récord de todo

ugh

going to delete this app if you continue to log me out randomly

Great app love that I can track all my maintenance for free

Terrible, recent update. (Summer 2026)

A recent update has introduced frequent automatic logouts, and this is a terrible design decision for an app like this.

I use the app to log my vehicles’ odometer readings roughly every 4–6 weeks so I can keep track of maintenance intervals. Now, nearly every time I open the app to update the mileage, I’ve been logged out and have to go through the email verification-code process again. That added friction is already making me less likely to bother entering the information.

More importantly, being automatically logged out can prevent maintenance and recall notifications from being delivered. That undermines one of the app’s most useful purposes.

This is not a banking or other high-security app containing particularly sensitive information. There is no reasonable need for login sessions to expire this aggressively, especially when doing so interferes with notifications and normal use.

Please restore long-term login retention. This has been one of the best places to keep vehicle maintenance information—but only if the app actually stays logged in.

Edit to your reply - I did contact CarFax (twice) about this degradation of the iOS app's usefulness and received pointless boilerplate "the app was updated for security" replies, indicating this botched 1-week login period was intentional. Personally, I'd like to get maintenance reminders and they won't work if the app is always logged out. It's not an issue you can fix for "me", it's an issue you need to fix in your app design.

App Crash!

The app keeps crashing after the last update! Fix it please!

Good as long as nobody enters wrong odometer reading

Had issues because the app would not allow me to correct a wrong odometer entry. Customer support was not a help
I was about to delete the app but a service was done and their entry corrected the issue

Good overall for keeping track of your cars if you are a DIYer

I do all of my own maintenance. The only reason my car goes to a shop is for the annual state inspection. Great app to keep track of everything and have a record when it’s time to sell. Would have given 5 stars but some of the items in the reminder services will not let you select self service and forces you to choose a shop. Not sure how to fix that but I have to ignore the reminder then add those services manually. If this gets fixed then definitely a 5 star review from me.

Great to keep track of service

Somewhat buggy

Lots of cool tracking features and reminders, but several times I’ve noticed it fails to update when I enter information. Just now I tried to enter my last tire rotation, but I couldn’t get it to take, even after restarting the app. Kinda frustrating because this has happened multiple times now.

Frustrated

Recently the app has just stopped working. Have tried to update my self service oil change odometer to keep track of my next change many times. Odometer never updated and just continuously says my next oil change is due in 3 weeks. (been like this for at least 2 months)

Self service in general is a very badly done thing on this app. always super laggy and just never really works the way it should

Records, car missing from app

I have been using this app and now one of my cars is missing, as well as other records

Good app gone bad

I used to depend on this app to keep track of basic info about my car. For example, the DMV needs the last 5 characters of all my my car’s VIN numbers which I used to keep in the glovebox for ready access. Since they are now masking numbers (why???) this feature is now useless. Dumb, since it’s my cars. You can’t even reveal it. So I’ve moved on to other apps.
