Great app love that I can track all my maintenance for free
Terrible, recent update. (Summer 2026)
A recent update has introduced frequent automatic logouts, and this is a terrible design decision for an app like this.
I use the app to log my vehicles’ odometer readings roughly every 4–6 weeks so I can keep track of maintenance intervals. Now, nearly every time I open the app to update the mileage, I’ve been logged out and have to go through the email verification-code process again. That added friction is already making me less likely to bother entering the information.
More importantly, being automatically logged out can prevent maintenance and recall notifications from being delivered. That undermines one of the app’s most useful purposes.
This is not a banking or other high-security app containing particularly sensitive information. There is no reasonable need for login sessions to expire this aggressively, especially when doing so interferes with notifications and normal use.
Please restore long-term login retention. This has been one of the best places to keep vehicle maintenance information—but only if the app actually stays logged in.
Edit to your reply - I did contact CarFax (twice) about this degradation of the iOS app's usefulness and received pointless boilerplate "the app was updated for security" replies, indicating this botched 1-week login period was intentional. Personally, I'd like to get maintenance reminders and they won't work if the app is always logged out. It's not an issue you can fix for "me", it's an issue you need to fix in your app design.

App Crash!
The app keeps crashing after the last update! Fix it please!
Good as long as nobody enters wrong odometer reading
Had issues because the app would not allow me to correct a wrong odometer entry. Customer support was not a help
I was about to delete the app but a service was done and their entry corrected the issue

Good overall for keeping track of your cars if you are a DIYer
I do all of my own maintenance. The only reason my car goes to a shop is for the annual state inspection. Great app to keep track of everything and have a record when it’s time to sell. Would have given 5 stars but some of the items in the reminder services will not let you select self service and forces you to choose a shop. Not sure how to fix that but I have to ignore the reminder then add those services manually. If this gets fixed then definitely a 5 star review from me.
