I recommend you make it easier to scroll through cars…one giant picture per car is too much and takes a long time to scroll through

I’m on my third purchase and sold several cars to CarMax, I love dealing with them and will only buy my cars from them after several wonderful experiences.

Imperfection pictures
The one thing I don’t like about the app is it doesn’t show the imperfection pictures like it does on the website..
It’s OK and usefull
Only one flaw, it gets stuck on the nationwide search mode and won’t go back to mileage radius mode so I hate scrolling through 352,000,000 cars 🤷♂️ to find one ☝️

Love working Carmax, great customer service, everything is very easy and simple. We love the 10 day return policy because we got to use the one we thought we wanted and then switched it out for something better fitting
Issues and Glitches
As if Carmax isn’t bad enough this app is full of issues and glitches. Doesn’t show the correct balance or payments. Making payments often ends in you being double charged. Recently they double charged me because of a glitch with the app. Payment Activity only showed one of the payments. Now I have to do a stop payment with my bank because their customer can’t do anything about it.

Worst experience buying a car
110 days and still no title and registration went over 4 different times and talked with several business managers all incompetent realized that I’m not the only one they just settled lawsuit exactly for this shady behavior selling cars with liens on title
Error when setting store
Even ChatGPT is tired of me trying to troubleshoot this and app support has no support for the app. I’m stuck and sad
Not satisfied
Almost bought an expedition max but after I inspected the tires, I realized 3 of the tires trends were cut up pretty bad. Management told me that there was nothing they could do about that. It is totally OK. After I inspected it, I realized 1 of the front right driver tire had a decent cut and showing wire, the front left tire had an nail in it. To think I just went on a test drive with my family, I almost jeopardized my family. Now dealing with management and them forgetting to inspect my car the next day and having to wait all weekend. When I’m in need of a car. I’m a little baffled how it passed Carmax’s inspection and state inspection and that they were trying to sell me a car in that kind of shape, i’ve already been pre-approved now waiting on vehicle on which I need and they’re showing me that they are in no rush of making a purchase or making things right

Very disappointing customer experience.
CarMax sold my reserved vehicle after I had already paid the transfer fee, completed the test drive, and scheduled delivery. Customer relations did nothing - don’t waste your time

First let me say, we love CarMax. They have the absolute best warranty.
The newest app change stinks.
Previously, you could change your down payment, credit score, length of loan to get an idea on what you would pay. Now they require you to prequalify and you cannot change the numbers afterwards. This is our go to place for cars but might have to rethink using Carvana since it is more user friendly.

Can’t get my offer
Entered my email to complete getting my offer 11 times. Each time, the email I entered would disappear from page after hitting return and nothing. Not a fan of entering personal info and getting nothing for it. Carvana, here I come.

Add debit card option.
Please add the ability to make debit card payments directly through the app. It’s SO frustrating having to call in every time just to make a payment via debit. It delays CarMax from receiving their money, and the phone process is unnecessarily long because the reps ask SO many questions before they can finally take the payment. Being able to pay by debit card in the app would make the experience much faster and more convenient.

eBay got me more
Carmax offered me less than $6,000 for my used car. I looked at TrueCar and saw my car going for as much $11,700. I then went to eBay, listed there, and sold it there for $4,000+ over Carmax offer.
Don’t buy into their marketing hype. What you get from Carmax is not a great offer no matter how many times Grandma and her grandson say “that’s a great offer.” The actors are lying. Carmax does not give you a great offer. Want to lose thousands of dollars? Go ahead and sell to Carmax then.
