NEW --- - Play to DLNA / UPnP speakers — a third kind of output alongside Google Cast and this device. Because your media server drives the playlist, the music keeps playing (and moves to the next track on its own) even after you lock the phone or close the app — and the app re-joins whatever's playing when you come back. It plays the original file, so high-resolution audio is bit-perfect. - Pick the connection per speaker — a speaker that supports both Google Cast and DLNA now appears as two entries, badged "Cast" and "DLNA", so you choose which to use: Cast for speaker groups, DLNA for bit-perfect playback that survives locking the phone. - Per-speaker maximum sample rate — for a DLNA speaker that can't handle high-resolution audio, set a ceiling (Settings > Default Output) and the server down-samples only the tracks above it; everything else stays bit-perfect. IMPROVED -------- - Track length and audio quality now show for DLNA playback, and the quality pill reflects the rate actually being sent — a down-sampled speaker shows its real rate, not the source. - New app icon. FIXED ----- - Startup volume — when the app connects to your default speaker on launch, it now reliably sets it to your configured starting volume, whether the speaker is idle or already playing. - Hardware volume buttons — volume-down no longer stops responding at low levels (and volume-up near the top), and the speaker's volume no longer creeps upward on its own. The phone's own volume is re-centered after each press so there's always room to register the next one. - Cast drop-outs — if the connection to a Cast speaker goes quiet, the app now notices and reconnects (re-joining or restarting the current track) instead of showing a progress bar that keeps moving with no sound. - More patience for a waking library — a bit more time is allowed for playback to start when the music is served from an external drive that has to spin up.
