Wish it could communicate with older 3512 and 3412 units. It doesn’t even work with a backbone protocol of j1939.
Good start
I recently purchased the blue tooth kit and installed on a cat 3516B generator set. The hardware was easy to set up and connect to Bluetooth device but the app needs some work. Parameters need to be user adjustable as some of the available readings were out of scale. Also some didn’t work. I wanted to use this device instead of connecting a laptop via catsis but it doesn’t quite hit the mark. Also the ability to see alarm history would be beneficial. Please fix some of these small points and I think the app will have a beneficial use in the work force.
