Best Apps for confession
I recommend this to everyone that wants to keep track of confession and examinations of conscience.
Feedback
Make an easily accessible place/link in the app for feedback. There are many small bugs. It would be helpful to click on a link, say in the upper right corner of any page, to let you know of a problem. Have the comments enter into a dataset/database that you can click working on or done as you move through the list. I assume you want to address issues and improve the app.

Love this wonderful free app
This app allows you to make daily reflections. I don't always, but I make use of it frequently. It helps me to remember to be Thankful, what I would like to pray for and areas to focus on, to review my day for when God was most prevalent, and finally, a chance to look at my actions/thoughts/decisions from the day allowing me to list areas where I need to ask for forgiveness.
I then go to the Thankfulness section and list the places I felt were successful through God’s grace and guidance—an excellent time for reflection.
When the time comes for reconciliation, I run the examination of conscience section (In my case, the commandments and as a married person). The areas that I mark I feel I have not lived up to or need to work on are now listed along with anything needing forgiveness/ reflections since the last reconciliation.
Once I enter the confessional room, my app is opened, and I am now given the number of days since the last confession, all of my sins, and the proceedings of the sacrament, including the act of contrition (what to say and do).
To start again, you are prompted with a question regarding your attendance at the sacrament. Then, the count begins again. As your sins are washed away, so are your listed infractions. You are starting fresh!
The only thing I would request as a change to the app would be: greater details in sin (examples?Command. 2, 9, 10 and provide the option for prayers before and after the sacrament.

One of the best apps
I use this app for daily examen. The most helpful app I have found for confession. It has all the features I need plus a few I don’t use. It broke in march of 2025 and I was so disappointed, but I uninstalled and redownloaded it and now it works perfectly again! I recommend this app to all my Catholic friends!

Currently broken
The app has been broken since the last update resulting in missing words and difficult to navigate UI. I love this app and would love to update my review to its deserved five stars. Please advise.

As a spiritual director, I often recommend this app for its ease of use. You can add a PIN number for added privacy. Bonus: no data collected by the developer. However, the update March 2025 completely messed up the app. I messaged the developer, but no response. ☹️ Only the icons appear on the main menu, but no description. Fortunately, when I click the proper place, my previously recorded sins are visible. 😮💨

All the titles of my tabs disappeared
I loved this app so much, it is such a great tool and help for me and my kids but unfortunately, after the last update of my phone, all the titles of the tabs in the app disappeared. I have to guess where I have to type in things and if possible I would like to know if there is a way to solve this issue. I would be happy to provide you with screenshots of how the app looks like now.

Excellent!
I love how this app keeps a record of my daily gratitude and that I can go back and review it from time to time. I love that my sins are password protected and that when I go to confession, they are automatically deleted. I love that this app does not track me or my data. Very Helpful Ap
Catholic Confession Ap, is a great tool to prepare youself for confession and keeping proper inventory of your daily sins. It allows the Holy Spirit to perfect me into a more perfect image of my Savior Jesus Christ.

Maybe a bug?
Everytime I enter all my info in the daily reflections and ibhit the yellow checkmark when I'm finished, it just all goes away and disappears. Very frustrating to retype all that. I've tried multiple times and keep having the same problem.
Great app could be even better
I love the different examinations and yes no options with space to be specific

Looks great but
I cannot type into the APP. I use a keyboard with my ipad and nothing is coming up as a I type. It’s almost like typing white on white.

I find this app very useful. I immediately know how long it’s been since my last confession and I can set a reminder for when I want to go again. I like that the act of contrition is available in the “reconciliation” tab. I also appreciate that this app does not collect any personal data.

Great for keeping track
I find my self coming back to the app time and again to touch base with the things that matter. I also enjoy the app keeping the log to help keep things straight when I do go before the Lord.
