Will not stay connected

Edit: It will connect now, but randomly will disconnect for unknown amounts of time during which it will not feed my cats.

When it is connected, it won’t drop food if it thinks there is already food in the dish, but this feature doesn’t work—it always thinks there is food in the dish. They changed it so you could manually override this in the app, but you have to do it each time which renders the ‘automatic’ part defunct.

Also, if the food tray detaches, it WILL NOT FEED THEM NO MATTER WHAT. My kitties paw at their bowl which knocks it out of place. I am out of town for the weekend at a family member’s house, and my family’s cheap but reliable cat feeder that they have here from amazon just dropped food which reminded me to manually drop food for my cats back home through the app (since it erroneously always thinks there is food in the dish). Well, they have pawed the bowl loose because that is a very common thing pets do, and now the app REFUSES to feed them. There is no reason for that. “Oh we want the bowl perfectly placed and if not, we will starve your pets” —?!

Now I have to call my in-laws to ask them to go feed them until I can get back into town.

Seriously. The cheap temporary one I had bought waiting for this stupid thing to finally release was so much more reliable. There is no reason for this trouble. CHANGE THE PROGRAMING SO IT WILL ALWAYS DROP FOOD NO MATTER WHAT. I don’t care if your bells and whistles are just so. Feed my babies you monsters.

Does not work.
I bought this FOR the app feature, and it simply will not work. It keeps saying that it is disconnected—I turn it off and then on again, it will connect, but then as soon as I try to do anything—even change the led color—it changes to ‘disconnected’ and will not function.
The app is the only means to control this thing I waited YEARS for them to finally deliver.

Please fix this app.

Love my Catspad!!

Went on a 5 days in Cancun without worrying at all!!
Now when they added the “force dispense” option, I don’t even have to worry about the food bowl scale not being calibrated all the time.

LOVE IT!
