About

Causal turns Apple Health measurements, quick check-ins, and real-life context into personalized wellness patterns you can inspect. How it works • Connect the Apple Health measurements you choose, including sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, workouts, and other supported measurements • Answer lightweight check-ins for caffeine, stress, exercise, mood, alcohol, and your own custom factors • Add context such as illness, travel, or a schedule change—either alongside a check-in or as an anytime note • Review notes, check-ins, and relevant measurements in a chronological transcript • See evolving coach findings with evidence, uncertainty, limitations, and reversible data exclusions • Mark findings useful or off-base and run low-risk tracking experiments Built for nuance Personal data is messy. Causal compares alternative statistical views, checks whether patterns hold over time, and distinguishes emerging signals from better-supported ones. It describes associations in your own history rather than diagnosing a condition or claiming medical causality. Private and optional • You control each Apple Health permission; Causal writes only supported measurements, reviewed meal nutrition, mindful time, State of Mind, and symptoms you explicitly save • Notes can be stored and viewed without enabling AI analysis • Cloud coach analysis requires explicit consent and can be turned off • Delete your account and associated data from the app Causal is a personal wellness and self-knowledge tool. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition and is not a substitute for professional medical care.
