HELP! My long lost mother got this for me on my 1st birthday!

Creating a variable freezes my app

I was trying to create my own program but found it wouldn’t let me parse or run it. I tried a few things and found that creating a variable caused any other button than code blocks to be unresponsive. I can still place the code blocks but nothing else works.

I need real help! My dad is about to be real mad in 10 minutes approximately! My dad spent 200$ on it and I do not know how to program it! Buyer beware

Bought this thing and the build was fun but as far as the software to run the toy - it doesn't work with any functions. Bluetooth will connect on occasion and the motors will load up but not run. Alot of money for a toy hard to get to run. Shero is a much better option to learn coding
