Great app
I use this app everyday no matter where I am in the world. It provides the most accurate information that I have found. I’m a sailing instructor and the radar with lightning and storm direction are most important. The hurricane tracking and earthquake notification is quite useful too. I have all the instructors who work for me download this app so they have great information at their fingertips.

Excellent Weather App Could Use Tweaks
I’ve been using the CBS Boston weather app for many years now, and have found it to be both accurate and reliable, with a lot of information at my literal fingertips. I like the options of both daily and hourly weather condition forecasts, but would love wind to be reported both as steady (such as SW16) and gust conditions (like G25). Perhaps it’s the pilot in me wanting a tad more clarity. I’d also like the map function to show lightning strikes both while in motion and when halted. And I am sometimes disappointed that the map loop (radar and whatever one wishes to include on the display) shows only one hour. The best version would include three hours, but I’d settle for two hour loops. That may sound like a lot of complaints, but I really do think that the core information is excellent (forecasts on video, occasional weather articles, map displays, current condition wherever you wish to check, hourly or daily forecasts), in part a reflection of the WBZ weather team, and the app functions and display are also not only well-conceived but also very functional and well-executed. I have recommended use of this app to many of my friends, and have even used it while traveling abroad.

Freezing out, so is the App
App worked well up until about month ago. Works for a few uses and then freezes on the opening screen. Work around is to delete and then reinstall from cloud. OK for a few uses and then the “groundhog” makes an appearance. Like WBZ in Boston for weather but the price is becoming too steep!
