Shows Promise, Needs Polish
The idea behind this app is very promising, but there are some things getting in the way of being able to use and navigate the app… The fonts and color choices make reading the app pretty difficult. Filters need some refinement; e.g. you can select multiple individual Varietals, but not simple Red vs White. I’m going to keep it on my phone and keep tinkering with it from time to time to see how it progresses, but not ready to make it my primary app yet.

Such a fun wine app
I used to keep a notebook, but this can always be with me and offers a ton of features even at the free tier. Scan bottles into your *cellar* as you grab them off a shelf. Learn ideal consumption windows. Add your own notes and ratings. It even learns what you like over time. I love that I can take my own tasting notes, then compare them against Cellared notes, see how closely they align, or maybe realize a flavor that had escaped me. If I can only get in the habit of remembering I have it… 😄 Anyway, it makes wine more accessible, less daunting, more fun. Like I was today years old when I learned Zin and Primitivo are the same grape. Womp womp.

Cellared got my cellar in top shape!
I never gave a second thought on which bottle needed to be opened before it went past its peak. Or if it was too early. Now I know! Thank you Cellared!
Cellared changed the way I drink wine
The drinking window feature alone is worth every penny. Knowing whether a bottle is too young, at peak, or past its prime has saved me from opening wines too early (and too late) more times than I can count. Now I actually drink my wine at the right moment instead of just hoarding it.
The food pairing function is genuinely brilliant. Tell it what you’re making for dinner and it pulls from your own cellar to suggest what to open. Chicken piccata night? It’s got you. Date night steak? It knows exactly which bottle has been waiting for that moment.
I can’t recommend it enough.
