Great app but broken tracking
App UI is really good
And online payment feature is great
BUT the main problem lies with the actual bus tracking
Sometimes it simply can’t track all the buses and their exact routes
Like it will frequently show no bus of a particular number going on your route and then 5 minutes later you will see that exact bus
Now this has very real consequences
Once I booked online a ticket for 172 because it was infact showing a 172 going my route
Then few minutes later it suddenly showed the 172 going off route
So I started walking towards a different bus stop
And while I was walking a 172 went right pass me
So if you are using the app to pay online or decide which bus stop to go to
please be extra cautious
That’s it🤗

Only request is to add more routes! Connect colleges like NMIMS, huge crowd from our college actually loves to use your service.
So honestly, great bus service in Mumbai & Thane, it’s plans are very much affordable, their AC EV buses are very comfortable(with USB charging socket/reading lamp). They’re very punctual and also offer the flexibility to change seat(free), reschedule for free until your bus arrives, though cancellation is free only upto some time before the scheduled arrival of bus. Polite, friendly & skilled drivers. They’ve a very prompt customer support system reachable via in-app messaging & call. Overall excellent experience, I’ve personally never written a review for any app/service on AppStore, sheer excellence of this app compelled me to write one. Keep it up!😊

One-Sided Rules, Poor Experience
The service is very disappointing. If passengers get delayed by even a few minutes at the pickup point, the bus does not wait and departs immediately. However, in my experience, the Chalo bus itself gets delayed many times—not just due to traffic, but also because the pickup time keeps changing due to “maintenance” or “technical issues.”
We planned our journey according to the pickup time and our next local train schedule, but the bus was delayed continuously. Many passengers waited almost 1 to 1.5 hours at the pickup location. If the bus gets missed due to Chalo’s delay, the passenger still loses ₹30, which is unfair.
What provision or compensation is there for passengers who wait for so long due to Chalo’s issues? This one-sided policy is very frustrating. Chalo should improve reliability and have a fair refund or compensation policy for such situations.

Chalo - Mumbai (A disaster you can’t avoid)
Chalo knows commuters in Mumbai don’t have any better option than travelling with them or with their competitor - Cityflo. They duly take advantage of this situation - sudden fare hikes, absolutely useless grievance redressal mechanism. Today my wife was stranded on a busy bus stop for more than an hour and half. And this is not a one of case that can be understood - this happens every now and then. Same has happened with me several times and I stopped using these services and started car pooling instead. I know there is no point of writing this review as Mumbaikars don’t have any other better option and even Chalo team will purchase more 5 star fake reviews to offset such 1 star reviews. My heartfelt condolences are with all Mumbaikars who have no other choice but to travel with Chalo :’(

I bought a day pass on Sunday 9.38 pm for Rs. 472/- . the app issued the pass with validity till Sunday 11:59 pm. how can I schedule 2 rides at 10 PM in night, when there are no rides available from Chalo at that time? isn't it common sense that it should have been valid for next 24 hours? Infact it was mentioned that the pass would be available for 1-2 days only. when I tried connecting with customer support on chat no reply was provided till midnight and today morning they replied saying they can't do anything. won't reverse the amount and won't extend the validity. worst service ever. First they increased the fare and now the service is pathetic. I travelled by Chalo few days back and the bus was halted at toll on Atal Setu for more than 20-30 mins because the FASTag did not had balance. All the passengers were late to their work place that day. Who will answer or bosses for such delay, who will face the consequences for not reaching in time for a meeting which is of utmost priority. Much needed app but poor execution
The idea is excellent and much needed for Kerala RTC, but usability is weak. Live tracking only shows blue text labels with no icons or direction, making it hard to follow buses. Stops are cluttered with multiple overlaps at the same location, which is confusing. Bus info, stops, and map are split into separate screens, forcing users to jump around instead of seeing everything in one flow.
Simple fixes like proper bus icons with direction, color-coding based on GPS freshness, and filters for “From” and “To” on the live map would greatly improve trust and reduce clutter. The Chalo Card is also a smart idea, but poorly executed.
This app has real potential, but until reliability, UI, and enforcement improve, it won’t fully solve the problem it set out to fix.

for KSRTC Travel Card Users (Chalo App)
When you add funds to your KSRTC Travel Card through the Chalo App, please note:
• The added amount will not reflect immediately on your travel card.
• Your new balance will be updated only after the bus conductor verifies and confirms the status during your journey.
• The conductor will check the update and sync the added funds to your travel card.
This is the correct procedure. If you notice that money has been debited from your bank but not showing in your card balance, please don’t worry. The balance will be updated once confirmed by the conductor.
I am sharing this based on my own experience so that other users are aware and don’t get confused.

Request to Improve Evening Bus Service from Bela Nivas to Patlipada
I am a regular commuter on the Chalo bus service from Bela Nivas to Patlipada, using the 7:10 AM and 5:00 PM slots. I would like to bring to your attention a serious concern regarding the 5:00 PM evening bus service over the past two weeks.
Despite boarding the bus at 5:00 PM, we have consistently been reaching Patlipada around 8:00 PM, which is extremely frustrating and inconvenient—especially when other services like Cityflow are able to reach by 6:30 PM.
The key issues seem to be:
• The Chalo bus halts at every stop, which significantly increases travel time.
• It does not take the Cadbury Junction flyover, resulting in being stuck in heavy traffic.
• Additional delays occur in the Powai area, further adding to the total commute time.
This common routing for all buses, without any express or fast-track options, is unfair and inefficient for daily commuters.
Suggested Solutions:

I’ve been using the Chalo Bus App for my commute between Navi Mumbai and BKC, and it’s been a great experience. I don’t see myself switching to another service anytime soon.

Disappointing experience
The Chalo Bus app has been a letdown. I booked an online ticket through the app, but the experience was far from smooth. The bus tracking feature is highly unreliable, often showing incorrect timings or buses that don’t exist. To make matters worse, the app interface is slow and crashes frequently, adding to the frustration. After booking, there was no proper confirmation, and the ticket wasn’t accepted by the conductor, leaving me stranded. Customer support is unresponsive, and resolving issues feels impossible. This app needs serious improvements before it can be considered useful.

Amazing app
This app is amazing! It is very to use, it gives accurate information. A few points that could be improved A) At times the gps is not able to detect my precise location and shows me buses going in the opposite direction B) It would be nice if a live chat option could be available coz many times bus drivers change their route/destination and there is no way to reflect it on the app. In this case if we could chat with the passengers we could get a clear idea. C) Earlier there was an option to add the prn of chalo card and login, check balance etc. that option is no longer available would be nice if that could be brought back

Running behind money
When I started around May-24 the chalo bus fare was around 3000 rupees and now it went upto 5250 rupees which is 75% hike in just mere 6-7 months. And there’s no change in service. Instead it is also limiting the trip routes in the same pass which was not the case before. But the demand getting increased and still no buses adding to cover the demand. Live tracking not working properly in many cases. No notifications on chat support. No response of chat support for 15-20 minutes. No follow up on call support after registering the complaint. There are so many drawbacks which are not getting resolved but fare prices increasing in every 1.5-2 months. If things goes in this way we need to change to other bus services.

Chalo bus service in Jammu
I think this is one of the best service that got started in Jammu. Truly a time saver and making day to day travel a hassle free to those areas where earlier it was very inconvenient and stressful. And mostly to the young generation students scholars or working community it’s a boon.
The app is best to track timetable as well as to track where the bus is at exact….makes one just be on perfect time.

An Excellent Ride with Punctuality.
I generally travel from BKC (Family Court) to Thane (Hiranandani Estate). Mr. Ibrahim Shaikh driver for one of Chalo Bus is very polite, well mannered and greets every passenger. He is very concerned for timely operation of the Bus so that passengers at every stop don’t have to wait and they can reach destination on time.
A fleet of such a comfortable bus and operating staff like Mr. Ibrahim Shaikh will definitely enhance image of Govt transport besides increase in ridership.

I have been using this app for a few weeks and I must say that it is very easy to use and navigate. The app has a simple and intuitive interface that lets me access all the functions with just a few taps. The app also has a lot of useful features that make my life easier specially for local commuting.
However, the app is not perfect and there are some features that I wish it had. For example, the app does not have a dark mode option, which would be nice for using the app at night or in low-light conditions. The app also does not have a search function regarding bus routes and their expected ETA timings at a particular location, which makes it hard to find bus options and to track online. The app also does not support multiple languages, which limits its usability for people who speak different languages.

Best app for tracking buses
Using public transport was a big hassle in Chennai until I came across this app. I had to wait at bus stand for hours without knowing if bus would arrive or not. This app has greatly helped me deciding best route based on bus availability data. This app tracks even small busses which is a great advantage. It is totally astonishing on how the developers managed to get such vast and accurate information that too on public transport. Kudos developer team.

An extremely comfortable bus
It’s way way better compared to cityflo which is small, the seats are uncomfortable, small windows that are anyway covered with branding, it smells at times. Somehow one doesn’t feel fresh after getting off the bus. Chalo is a big bus with extremely comfortable seats, wide windows and charging points.
However, it QPP lacks a user friendly interface. It’s a search feature is extremely poor. It doesn’t optimise well for search by way of destination too. They need to learn lessons from cityflo that has an extremely easy interface and search functionality.

BUS LEFT RIGHT IN FRONT OF US
We had a booking of not one but two people from two different devices, yet the bus came 15 minutes late and did not even stop, infact it CAME THROUGH THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD. The booking was done hours prior, no information about the driver, no bus tracking feature provided, VERY INCOMPETENT TEAM who will keep you on hold until the bus has already left. I had called the team 10 prior but when the bus passed us I was still kept on hold, had I been updated that the bus is almost on it’s way, maybe somehow I could’ve at least made it. I ALMOST MISSED MY FLIGHT and the refund is apparently going to take 10 days. If you don’t know how to run a business don’t open one

Awesome app with high accuracy
I extremely loved this app because the bus tracking option is the best and makes bus travel so much hassle free. It solves the biggest issue in bus travel of not getting bus on time.
