What's New in Chess+ · Offline Board Game

5.8

Bug fix: Pawn promotion is working again! In the previous version, moving a pawn to the last rank did not show the promotion menu, and the game could get stuck. This is now fixed. When your pawn reaches the other side of the board, you can choose to promote it to a Queen, Rook, Bishop or Knight, on both iPhone and iPad. We're sorry for the trouble, and thank you to everyone who reported it. Enjoy your games!

Response from developer

Hi, thank you for letting us know, and we're really sorry about this! You're right: a bug in the previous version prevented the promotion menu from appearing when a pawn reached the last rank. We've fixed it in version 5.8, which will be available on the App Store soon. After updating, you'll be able to promote your pawn to a Queen, Rook, Bishop or Knight as expected. Thanks for your patience!

Chess

Fun game thankfully 😅

Challenge

This app is actually a challenge even hardness 1 is not simple for a beginner as an experienced player I’ve played apps where the max level was not as hard as 8 or 9 on here. Max difficulty on this app is actually extremely challenging I like winning but losing and learning is much more what I want out of an app
