Hi, thank you for letting us know, and we're really sorry about this! You're right: a bug in the previous version prevented the promotion menu from appearing when a pawn reached the last rank. We've fixed it in version 5.8, which will be available on the App Store soon. After updating, you'll be able to promote your pawn to a Queen, Rook, Bishop or Knight as expected. Thanks for your patience!

This app is actually a challenge even hardness 1 is not simple for a beginner as an experienced player I’ve played apps where the max level was not as hard as 8 or 9 on here. Max difficulty on this app is actually extremely challenging I like winning but losing and learning is much more what I want out of an app
