About

Chess in 3D — plus a second mode you will not find anywhere else: capture a piece and you get to throw it back onto the board. WHOEVER CAPTURES GETS TO THROW The captured piece becomes the projectile, in the same turn or never. There is no ammo store: skip the throw and you lose the right to it. Otherwise whoever is ahead would hoard projectiles and the game would tip for good. You throw from well behind your own back rank, not from the edge of the board. That is exactly where the difficulty comes from — the same small angular error grows across the distance into a wide miss. Drag to set direction and power, release to throw. NO FRIENDLY-FIRE PROTECTION Your own pieces topple just as easily. Whoever leads gets more ammunition but risks their own position with every throw. Toppled means captured: tilted more than 45 degrees, or knocked off the board. Everything else slides back onto its square. A toppled king ends the game. THREE DIFFICULTY LEVELS THAT CHANGE SOMETHING The difference is not a number, it is how much you get to see. - Easy: the full arc, and you pick the power freely. - Normal: half the arc, and the power swings, so you have to release at the right moment. - Hard: only the launch direction, a faster swing, plus crosswind you have to account for before you let go. OR JUST CHESS The mode is a switch, not an obligation. Leave it off and you get complete chess: castling, en passant, promotion, every draw rule. With a main menu, pause, saved games, replays and settings. AN OPPONENT THAT CAN THROW, TOO Play two people on one device, or against the built-in opponent in three strengths. It is a hand-written alpha-beta search with piece-square tables. On the lower levels it misses on purpose now and then, which feels more human than an engine repeating the same mistake every game. And it aims its throws as carefully as you do. ON YOUR DEVICE, NOT IN THE CLOUD No account, no sign-in, no server, no ads, no tracking. The game, your saved games and the replays stay on your device and the opponent thinks locally. Chessplosion works on a plane exactly as it does at home. DETAILS - Every piece is generated procedurally from a profile curve. No bought models. - Figurine notation by default because it is language-neutral; letter notation per language is one switch away. - The sound is synthesised from the actual physics impact, so a hard hit sounds like one. - English and German.
