Great door!
I’ve had this door for about 2 months and I love it! Very easy to program if you watch the quick video. I was also confused by the app resetting and not saving the times I programmed but the programming worked, my door opens and closes on time and I no longer have to get up at the crack of dawn to let the girls out. One of the best purchases I’ve made in.

Brilliant App
Ok people, you need to understand. This app is not “connecting” to the door. It is simply a way to “configure” the door. When you get the door into “configure” mode, the photo sensor on the door acts as a receiver. Your phone’s screen will blink rapidly (which is why it tells you to hold it up to the sensor) and transfers all the data to the door in binary using “blinks”. Honestly it’s absolutely brilliant, I’m a an engineer and can appreciate how clever this is.
So don’t be confused if the app doesn’t “save” any of your settings. If you want to program the door (which you will most likely do once and then never again) you configure your settings, let your iPhone screen blink at the sensor, and it transfers all the settings.
Hats off to the genius who came up with this idea. Cheaper and easier than Bluetooth or WiFi.

Could we have a future option to set multiple open/closing times? To let the chickens into a run, then prevent them from coming back through?

Really like the door. App needs clarity
App settings reset if you open/close the app. Is confusing if you want to use the timer setting, if you close app it will reset to open/close on daylight and evening, making you feel it was not saved. Also, delay setting in advance settings is fixed and can not adjust from default of 20min.
*update! Read a helpful review regarding app resetting. It makes sense. You’re configuring your door at the source, so once configured following the steps, app is only needed if you want to reconfigure. The actual door holds you’re saved settings. Make sure to watch video on how to configure.

Doesn’t work
The app is completely useless the door is stuck on 20 min after dark and 20 min after sunrise cannot get the settings to change with the app
Great app-watch the setup video
The app works flawlessly. It’s not necessarily intuitive, so the video is essential. Setup is easy once you know how.
Wait till dark or cover sensor!
I was just about ready to give up on the app till I read one review that said they had to wait till dark for the app to work. I didn’t want to wait so I took a winter coat and placed it over the light sensor and my phone while it flashed for the couple of seconds of calibration. Sure enough, I heard the beeps saying that it was successful and the door operated just fine after that.

Brilliant
This is awesome. No account required, the using the light sensor to program the door is brilliant. PLEASE allow a way to close the door *before* sunset, based on GPS data. Thank you!!!
Works great for me
I was concerned when I read some of the reviews about the app resetting but it’s working great for me and I even have an older iPhone. I do notice that the app “resets” when you go back into it if you are wanting to change an opening or closing time. That did throw me for a minute but then I realized that it’s not the APP we are programming but our units. Doesn’t matter what the app resets to; our unit is what has the memory of the time we programmed. I wonder if that’s what has others confused? Anyway, I love it and it worked perfectly from the get-go. Especially loved that I didn’t have to get up at 5:30 am in order to program it manually that first morning after installation. It was the first morning in 2 weeks I could sleep in!! Lol

Great door, app can be improved
App resets setting when you close/open it.
Also had a difficult time configuring the app to the door. Took several attempts . App could use improvement with an open/close button, saving the setting, and letting the user change the setting on the phone without having to reconfigure

Not working
I set the door, everything supposedly is set, open the app again only to see nothing is saved.. this is really frustrating
App does not program properly
Everytime i use the app to program the door the settings do not save and the program defaults to original factory settings. This does not work for me since I do not want to door to operate on a light sensor. I bought this door so I could configure though the app. Disappointed!
Not good app
Each time you open or close the app it resets and you have to redo settings all over again. Have a simple open close button on app!!!!
It works, just needs to be dark
The app works, I just had to do it in a dark room. Outside at night would probably work too.
The app doesn’t work properly!
The apple app doesn’t work properly. Every time you close the app the chicken door resets, so you have to program it manually. If they would just have a simple open close button on the app it would make a huge difference.

Easy to install. Easy to program using app as well. We have not had any problems.
Works great for me
I had no issues with it. Easy to program. Way better than having to get up early to get out there at the exact time you want it to open and having to do that several times throughout the year as the seasons change.
It’s a joke
Love the door, just wish that the app worked and that more people were using it so they would modify it. The app is a total joke doesn’t work you would think a simple close and open button on the app would be nice, don’t waste your time with this one
